After having a serious craving for Thai food... and being in Little 5 Points where we have been happy with every other restaurant...we strolled into a cool foyer to find a little gem...

So we thought...

We were immediately sat- and given water. There were only two other two tops near us. 15minutes later... a waiter finally comes over after we signaled for her... she takes our food and drink orders.

Within 15minutes our food arrives- where we ask for our cocktails AGAIN.30 minutes after being sat. Again- place is empty and there are 5 servers behind bar.

Our food was lackluster, meat was tough and almost immediately began to feel a bit queasy. Again, we ask for our drinks. We are practically done picking at our meals. Our waitress, walks out the door with purse and keys in hand 10more minutes after. We are now waiting for anyone at this point... we receive our cocktails... 2 lychee martinis (looked like cosmos) which were absolutely disgusting. We each took one sip and pushed our drinks way. Remember this is about 45minutes after being sat.

When we called over another waitress- she took our drinks and was nice about it- but never apologized. Stated our actual waitress was nowhere to be found/must have gone on break - goes to the next girl who made our drinks and tells her what happened and she starts shouting “I made them now I made them right”. *we were more upset about our disappearing waitress- but whatever...

We finally receive the bill- and get the heck out of there, feeling sluggish, to almost step ona grossly large cockroach. I am so upset and disgusted with not only the lack of service but the food as well. The filthy roach topped it off. SAD this is anywhere near the other great establishments nestled in little 5 points. Real Rating :0...

TLDR: Thai 5, your service and food are top-notch, but it’s time to spruce up the ambiance. ขอบคุณ (khob khun) for the great experience!

Service:5/5 I’m met some friends here for a birthday celebration on a Monday. We were immediately seen, giving water to start in the bartender/waiter was fast and attentive. Prices: 5/5 Prices were as expected in my opinion for what we received, I did get some sashimi as well as a signature role. Very filling and quite delicious to be frank . Ambiance: 3/5 This is where there’s a clear loss of points. Unfortunately, this restaurant has one of those smells of I guess old food and old construction. I feel like Thai 5 needs an update and to close down for renovations.

It’s time to invest in a new and fresh look. Taste/Textures: 5/5 My food was delicious and my girlfriend ordered the lobster roll which had an amazing presentation. Definitely think that the waiters, chefs, and Bartender were really hard to create a quality environment for top-notch agent food in little five points. Value:5/5 Definitely left here with the feeling that I got what I paid for and would return.

Thai 5 has been one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Atlanta until now. Due to extensive traveling I've not been there for about 6 months and was so very disappointed. I am vegan and always order the green curry with just vegetables, no meat, no tofu, and was always served a nice portion of veggies in a delicious sauce. I was shocked to see the portion cut in half and the prices raised 20%. I could have dealt with a price increase, I realize things do cost more everywhere, but to cut the portion size of just vegetables in half and put in on a small plate was ridiculous and unacceptable. I even mentioned this to my server who agreed and said that this is the owner's new idea. Well, let me just say this, to the owner, it's a bad idea and I'll not be back. Vegetables are a part of curry anyway and when someone orders it with just vegetables you need to add extra vegetables, as was always the case there, and every other Thai restaurant I go to. A handful of vegetables is NOT a high cost item. There are other great restaurants in the Little 5 Points area that I'll frequent and say goodbye to Thai 5. I'm not going to be gouged by a greedy owner and served a child's portion at an...

One of the few Thai restaurants on the south end of town (and the only Thai restaurant in Little Five Points) is a decent stop for Americanized Thai food. It's not unusual for Thai restaurants to be Americanized, but the amount of sauce in typically dry noodles dishes was overwhelming. The noodles are much sweeter and saltier than most and not my preference. However, others seem to really enjoy the sweet & salty flavor. This is another Thai-sushi combo restaurant with the expected quality. The menu offers a good variety at reasonable prices. We got the Thai 5 sushi roll and pad-see-ew. The sushi roll was pretty good. Service is okay- our water refills stopped promptly after paying the check. I'll stick to the appetizers and sushi next time. Pros: solid Thai tea, located in the heart of Little Five Points Cons: noodles are too sweet with no wok hei

Im a foodie and i love to eat at different restaurants across the globe. My favorite Thai spot Rice Thai, of StoneCrest, Georgia closed, and I have been on the search. Finally, this was it. A decent substitute. I'm vegetarian, and the tofu was outstanding (I like mines spongy but they weren't too bad, just soften the outside up some please) in my veggie delight dupe. The seasoning was just right and the service awesome. On the other hand, I wish they'd add more veggies. At least and extra 2 oz. The portion size was probably the size we need, but we eat out and expect a good amount of veggies. Also, I preferably like homemade egg rolls where they fill and wrap themselves. But the ones they serve aren't homemade, but they are good and i love the sauce 😋. Everything else was outstanding.
