[May 10, 2024 | 4 stars] Postino still has a very nice vibe and 100% recommend going!! The location is convenient and beautifully laid out. The only downside was our server, Adaina -detailed below.
Food: The Bruschetta Board is a must try (go on their website to get a free one)!! We tried the Warm Artichoke (9/10), Smoked Salmon Pesto (9/10), Brie, Apple, & Fig (8/10), & Mozzarella, Tomato, Olive Oil (7/10). They were all so flavorful and pleasant to try — coming from someone who usually isn’t a big fan of dishes w. bread (I know I’m weird lol). I also had the Shrimp Scampi (6/10) and Caesar Salad — which were both just okay and prob came down to my personal preference. The bottle of wine (10/10) we had was great!!
Service: Rather disappointing. I’ll start off by saying our first server (green dress/younger lady), hostess, and I believe team lead were all very kind and helpful in all of our brief interactions.
However, our second server who took over, Adaina J, honestly was far from it. She was cold, distant, and even a little rude. Our first interaction was her bringing out the bottle of wine to our table. She silently sat the bucket and glasses down. My friend and I both greeted her… met with silence. As she wraps up pouring the wine we also thank her — in which she walks away without any acknowledgment. Initially, I passed this off as maybe she was in deep thought or something (giving her grace as we’re all human). Although, throughout the night she continued to showcase a lack in communication, engagement, and by the end just rudeness. For instance, my friend’s check was incorrect (I guess communications from our first server re: the free bruschetta board was not passed along). Which is no biggie, but it was more so the way she handled it. My friend brought it to her attention and she said “that’s why I asked you if everything was correct” (showing the mobile POS) - very rude tone. In which my friend communicated that the screen she displayed was not itemized and went straight into the tip. Adaina then proceeded to walk away with not much as a word but clearly her body language and energy expressed she was irritated, despite it being no one’s fault. The team lead ended up coming over and re-closing out my friend with no problem and even gave us coupons for another free bruschetta board (which we did not ask for but appreciate). Additionally, water refills were never prompted nor check-ins. All in all, not entirely sure what was going on but def did not leave a good impression. Really hope no one else has this experience! Postino’s vibe should not be overshadowed by poor service/attitude.
[February 2023 | 5 stars] You have to give Postino a visit!! Really cute spot and nice vibe! From music to decor this place is chef’s kiss. Love their boards 10/10, wine, chicken sandwich, and side salad. Customer service was great, attentive, and fast despite them be super busy. They can accommodate bigger groups easily and will...
Read moreThe restaurant is in a plaza so there's lots of self parking. We came in for brunch on a weekday so walk-in was fine. There was no need for reservation. The plaza parking is kind of full (there's still some slot available but it was pretty full for a weekday noon) because of other shop and business in the same plaza. The parking right in front of the restaurant that say "Reserved for Tuxedo Fest" belong to the plaza so you can totally park there.
The staffs is friendly and attentive. They also have good knowledge about the menu which is a plus. All the food were good. Our server is very friendly and active, but she kind of disappeared at the end of our meal so we had to ask other server for the check and dessert menu since we couldn't see her anywhere. We had:
Drinks: apricot palmer and prickly pear lemonade. The apricot palmer is much blander than I thought but my friend enjoy it. I like my pear lemonade. It has more flavor. Snacky thing: shrimp scampi, grilled cheese, sweet potato wedges, and Maitake mushrooms. Chicken & mozzarella Bruschetta board: Prosciutto Di Parma, Sweet N’ Spicy Pepper Jam & Goat Cheese, Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil, and Warm Artichoke Spread.
There was a small accident at the beginning of the meal. There was a mini spider on the table and the manager solve the issue by squashing the spider to the table that we had lunch. The server cleaned what left after that squash right away. But personally, I feel it a bit gross when bugs and alike are smashed right in front of me and on the table I was gonna have lunch on like that.
Overall, it's a good spot with solid quality on the food and very cool decor for brunch. I personally feel that their menu work best for brunch/lunch comparing to dinner. I will try it in other location to see the difference in decor. Highly...
Read morePostino Wine Cafe is an eatery featuring great food, wine, & electric vibes. It is located in the Chastain neighborhood of Buckhead in the Tuxedo Festival Shopping Center near the intersections of Piedmont & Roswell Roads.
Postino has a cool vibe, with lots of interesting murals & wall space throughout the restaurant, as well as great background music. Postino has a nice patio with functioning heaters, which allows great people watching, as the restaurant is @ the intersection of Piedmont & Roswell roads. We both agree that this would be a location to bring our friends, as many of the menu items are shareable.
We were greeted & seated immediately without a reservation. Food and beverages came out very quickly. The staff were extremely friendly & happy to answer decor questions & make recommendations on food and beverages. We ordered the Delas French 🍷, mixed greens salad, blackberry lemonade, crispy cauliflower, & bruschetta board (Brie, 🍏 & Fig Spread, Burrata, Arugula & 🍅, Warm Artichoke Spread, Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio).
The blackberry lemonade was on the sweet side; some club soda would have made it delicious. The mixed greens salad was delightful. The salad was dressed with a bright poppyseed dressing & had a great mix of candied pecans, 🍐s, 🍇s, gorgonzola, & leeks. We loved the romesco sauce for the cauliflower so much, we took extra home to enjoy (the cauliflower was also tasty). Bruschetta highlights were the artichoke (so creamy) and the 🍏 (very balanced). I do not usually enjoy eating foods with diced 🍅s; however, the 🍅s were so well seasoned, I didn’t mind at all.
I can’t wait to go back, as I want to try so many of the dinner options: smoked salmon, meatballs, OMG grilled cheese, boards, & donut dots, to name a few. This would also be a great Sunday...
