My friend was checked into this hotel for 3 nights and I was also going to be in Atlanta for a day trip so she offered for me to stay with her. I got to the hotel around 7pm on 12 July 2025 and the staff on site were extremely nice and hospitable. They let her leave a key at the desk for me (as I was going to be arriving later when she was not there)and told me where all the amenities were and gave me a ticket for the parking garage. I told the guy at the desk that I would only be staying for one night and that I didn’t want them to charge her card for my parking because she would be staying there for a longer amount of time. He was very understanding and let me pay the $25 dollars for that day right then and there. He told me I could bring my parking ticket to the desk before I left(it was currently in my car) and he would be able to scan it so I could be let out of the garage. I ended up deciding to stay a second night as well so on 13 July before I left I brought my parking ticket to the front desk so I could get it scanned to close it out and be able to leave the parking garage. Mind you, my friend was still going to be staying there for an additional night after I left… My friend was walking me out and we both waited at the front desk to be seen. Ms. Rochelle Heard(that’s what she told us her last name was) kept typing on her computer and eventually looked up at us to say “just one moment and I’ll help you in a minute.” I told her it was completely fine and to take her time because she genuinely looked like she was preoccupied. Another man came up to the desk from the side and she assisted in giving him his key card and letting him know where the elevator was located. After she was done assisting him she looked up at me and asked me if I needed any assistance. I told her that I was trying to pay for my parking ticket so I could exit the parking garage. I don’t know if she was confused by my request but she told me that I couldn’t do that and that it would charge the card on file for the room when I checked out. …I assumed she misunderstood what I was asking for since I had no bags(I had put my bags in the car earlier that morning) so I told her I wasnt checking out but that I was trying to leave and I didn’t want it to charge my friends card. I was trying to leave the parking garage and at the time my friend was planning to stay another night because her reservation ended the following morning. Rochelle looked confused at what I was asking and said “what?! That’s not how it works, it’s going to charge your card on file when you check out.” I politely tried to explain again the situation to her and what the employee from the day before had told me to do and she kept cutting me off. All i said was “ma’am I’m trying to pay for the ticket now and I’m not trying to charge my friends card for my parking when she has a ticket of her own-“ I was literally just about to explain to her that my friend was still going to be staying there because she seemed confused about why we’re trying to pay and she cut me off, grabbed the ticket from me and said “I’m very very busy, I don’t have time for this.” She scanned my ticket and handed it to me and said “you’re good you can go.” I turned and looked at my friend because I was genuinely confused about what was going on. I looked back at Rochelle and asked her, “do you need my card so I can pay?” And she didn’t answer me about the parking she just kept ing repeating over and over again, “you’re good you can leave, I helped you, you can go.” And she literally lifted her hand and waved me off like she wanted me to leave. I was genuinely confused so I was still standing there asking her “are you okay?”, did I do something wrong?” And she was still ignoring what I was saying and rushing us to leave saying “you’re good you guys can leave, I’m very busy you guys can go.” I took the ticket and told her thank you. Me and my friend were literally standing in front of the lobby doors and I looked back at her and then back at my friend and asked “am I crazy for that or...
Read moreI don’t normally post reviews, but I felt compelled after my stay at Element Buckhead. I needed to find a place to stay for 2 weeks in Atlanta due to my job. I searched the internet high and low to find a place that was comfortable yet affordable. Element fit that and more. The rooms are so spacious and perfect for a longer-term stay. I love the kitchenettes - they are just what you need for cooking a few meals during your stay. Speaking of meals, breakfast is AMAZING and included for free every day - this is becoming increasingly rare. I especially loved the Greek Yogurt bar complete with Chobani yogurt and toppings. I ate this every day, but the made to order options looked delicious. The Buckhead location is perfect: near all the main points, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Buckhead. Nevertheless, there are many shops and restaurants in walking distance. I have had trouble sleeping at other hotels in Atlanta due to security concerns, but that never crossed my mind at Element. More than the hotel itself the PEOPLE at this hotel are some of the kindest and most welcoming. Whereas at other hotels you sometimes feel like a burden, the people at Element make you feel like a new friend. Southern Hospitality is not dead here! Mazie was especially kind during my stay and so helpful with any request I had including parking, housekeeping, restaurant recommendations, and just checking in to make sure I was enjoying my time in ATL. This was so comforting as a newcomer to Atlanta. There is also the opportunity to meet fellow guests at the beautiful bar/lounge area. Free drinks are served daily 5-6:30 and there is tons of outdoor seating in their beautiful patio. I work from home ~2 days a week, and the lobby areas and outdoor areas were perfect to get some work done. Also the place is so CLEAN. I felt like I was moving into a new room each time housekeeping serviced my room. They provided excellent service of the entire building including the elevators and hallways. Everything was always so spotless. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms are so nice, the windows are massive and have awesome shades that allow you to control your level of brightness. Parking is $25 per day but I find that to be standard in the area, and I always felt my car was very safe. I never had to fight for a spot or walk a long distance. And the parking is self-park, which I prefer. The internet speed is fast, and TVs provide all the normal services. The pool and gym were very nice, and I never saw either with more than one person in them. With all this, you’d expect to pay hundreds of dollars a night, but the price of the hotel seems to hover less than $150 which I find to be incredibly affordable! I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel, and I will certainly recommend others to stay here...
Read moreI'd avoid this hotel at all costs. Booked here for a 2 day stay with a colleague for a company event that was occuring in the area.
Both the TV and phone in the room didn't work. Room wasn't very clean and towels had stains.
In addition- my colleague and I both received emails the day we were checking in, stating that the hotel was fully booked and they'd be charging us for the first night ahead of us arriving at the hotel. I've never had this before, but understood. However, in both cases, we were told our cards (corporate cards that are definitely active) were declined and we were given about an hour to call in with new credit card info. I managed to see the email in time and respond, my colleague did not as he was on a flight.
No further correspondence was received, but when we got to the hotel at around 11pm that night, my colleague was told his room has been given away. Him and I had planned all our logistics around staying in the same hotel (rental car, meals, etc), and there was no availability at any hotel close by.
I asked if I could cancel my room and check in at the same hotel as my colleague but was declined as they would not be able to rent the room out that night, given it was 11pm. I let them know that I'd be checking out the next morning to which they replied "yes that's totally fine sir".
When I checked out the next morning, I was charged an "early check out fee", which I managed to get the associate at the front desk to remove. He told me it's likely not an issue but he'd check in with the manager and they'd call me if they decided to bill me for it.
Fast forward that evening, and of course i was charged an extra fee without approval, and without a call. I called the manager to ask for an exception (politely), which he declined stating it's 'policy'. I simply replied saying that I understand it's policy but was looking for an exception.
At this point, the manager got irate and started yelling. I said I would contact the hotels owner to complain as I'd never had customer service this poor in the past. He then decided to repeat my name, company I work for, etc. (It's a large US based company) And started to threaten to call the owner to complain about 'the kind of person I am.' He started yelling at this point, even to where I could hear his colleagues trying to calm him down. When I asked for his name, he hung up.
I travel pretty often for work, and the company I work for frequently has large events in this area. I have never had service like this at any hotel. Beware that you may show up to find out you don't have a room, with 0 sympathy or accomodations on the hotel's...
