The Only reason why I’m posting is because the manager just said “why are you calling”? This shocked me. After letting her know the quality was not up to par. I originally began my sentence with high praise that I liked coming to the restaurant because the prior quality was ok. (I don’t like it here but I understand to hit w/ good news first) I told her I like to order here but this is not quality this time, there’s no quality control on this food or this order. She then told me, “well you’re not getting a refund so why are you telling me.” I was shocked I calmly said mam I didn’t ask for a refund or free food I’m letting you know because this order compared to previous is not EDIBLE or APPETIZING you may need to look into your cooks. She said you’re the only one complaining tonight… well mam did everyone get the Powerbuilder? Are you saying because others didn’t complain mines is not legitimate or worth hearing?. I’m not understanding the logic especially when I said 3 times I don’t want anything I’m telling you so you can make it better so I can come back. I always order from Ru sans buckhead the quality and service is way better. I wouldn’t even take the time to write here had she just took some form of consideration for my complaint and now you have to see it here because you treated me like garbage which is exactly what you served. I shared this meal with a friend of mine who commented it looked like dog food. Nothing mattered to her after my order was complete which obviously is the same for this food. I even asked does that mean my complaint is not legitimate since no one else said anything she just stumbled on more defensive words saying I’m not getting any free food which I never asked for not one time. It’s so stereotypical to think black paying customers would want this and this is exactly how I felt. Which is ridiculous. I’ll be calling the Better Business Bureau first thing tomorrow as well as a couple other calls. Mam this isnt food!!! Not only that but it was warm and that’s the last thing you want sushi to be. More importantly whst are you actually managing when you can’t take a complaint serious snd legitimize it by saying no one else complained like everyone is getting the same platter at the same time by the same cook??? So if I get sick I know where to go ….for the last time QUALITY CONTROL. If you don’t care about your customers why are you in business and this is not the first time I felt disrespected. I thought I was trippen at first until tonight. I definitely felt it. I hate to pull the race card so I’m not but I wonder if I were an older white woman if the same dialogue would have happened. I’m just saying. I can almost guarantee after this post there will be more of an effort to defend this 100% factual statement I’m placing here instead of taking accountability and for them to look at themselves, food quality and customer service and treating everyone with respect. Now I’m placing my energy into this. All you had to do was listen and respond w/ care and respect.

Man, how this place has went down the drain. Or at least the experience this time around did. I used to live in Atlanta, and frequented Ru Sans very often. The quality and price had me coming back for more at least once a month. I have moved out of Atlanta about 4 years ago, and this was my first time back to Ru Sans while visiting my brother and sister in law. Ordered the protein bomb combo, and it was fairly disappointing. A lot of the disappointment came from how long the food took to come out. There was barely anybody in the restaurant, and yet for some reason it took a total of 45 minutes for the food to come out. Not to mention, my sister in law got her food last, and due to the fact that my wife and I were trying to make it to the airport, we started eating first and finished before her food came out. When the food finally came, the chicken, despite being drenched in sauce, was extremely dry, tough, and hard to consume. The rest of the sushi just kinda seemed like it was slapped onto the plate. The California rolls were falling apart when I tried to pick them up because they weren't rolled properly. The seaweed was soggy. Unfortunately will not be returning because of this experience, and would not recommend.

This place is hard to find but offers reliable and reasonably priced sushi with an inventive menu of specialty (deep-fried) rolls. We stopped here with two little kids after they got haircuts and were disappointed to find they had no kids menu. Their "adult" menu was on mobile only and the interface was glitchy. The sushi, however, was really good. I got a "Firecracker Maki" roll and tuna avocado roll, which were both sizable with plenty of rice. I am typically not a fan of deep fried sushi but the Firecracker roll was done perfectly. Crispy rice on the outside but the fish was unaffected. It also came with some really good spicy saucy (like cocktail sauce). We ate at 6PM so the place was mostly empty but they had plenty of seating. They also had a large menu with tons of options. You could eat here for a month and not try everything. I paid about $27 for both rolls, tax and tip - which seems pretty good for Atlanta. Four stars feels about right.

Okay, so I hate to even have to put this out there, but I believe people need to know about the service and how disgusting it was.

What made it disgusting was the fact my friend had a HUGE piece of plastic coming out his mouth from his odom noodles. He literally pulled it out of his mouth- no telling where that plastic came from. It could of came from a raw meat package or something that was sitting around. This could have made him choked. The server didn’t even call the manager when he seen this. He ran with the plate so no one would see it. He was shocked to see such a big piece of plastic intertwined with the noodles and yet didn’t want to compensate for the negligence that came from Ru Sans.

That was the most gross thing I’ve ever experienced, we were all sharing our food. Even though the manager was nice- my friends whole bill should have been taking care of. This was the kitchen’s fault for a horrible experience- not ours. So that was bad Management on her behalf. Had the server showed you what came from his plate- you would have understood the magnitude of the situation.

Second- server was extremely rude (he never gave us his name) but he is the black man with dreads and glasses. His approach, demeanor, and attitude should have been left at home. He made my party feel super uncomfortable by the lack of knowledge he knew about the menu and how fast he was rushing us to order. It’s your approach and tone. Please check that!

I’m grateful for my YouTube platform. I will definitely let people know who tries to go to Ru Sans that this place is VERY UNSANITARY and the service was horrible. Worst service I’ve had in such a long time. Very embarrassing.

No, we did not tip- but I wish he did not even get the gratuity. It was not earned or deserved. We were treated bad and will never step foot in this unsanitary establishment. Please vet your servers before putting them on the floor.

What I would like to see is for proper action to happen. Compensate that bill and speak to your server. We deserved a...

Where do I begin??? I’ve been patronizing this location for years and have never had a problem. The food was decent and the service good to great. Not TODAY!!! I stopped by to order lunch for two. The first thing I noticed that there was an extra charge on my bill. I asked the cashier and she explained that it was an automatic 10% gratuity. Okay, that’s fine but I should have been told prior to placing my order. While Waiting on my order, I asked about adding yum yum sauce to my order. “They’re $.50 a piece.” Okay, but my bill is almost $30... for lunch. So I asked the cashier, rhetorically, so y’all are going to risk losing a customer for $.50? She shrugged and then turned her back to continue her intellectual task of filling ramekins with soy sauce. When my order came, another young lady was assigned to package it. As she handed me my order, I said,” y’all are really wrong for charging for sauces”. Next thing I know, the cashier inserts herself into the conversation and says,”The reason we charge is because we make all of our sauces in house!” Ma’am... I wasn’t speaking to you. I was speaking to this young lady right here. The cashier then says, “that’s my sister so I was speaking for her.” Now wait a minute. Clearly the woman who handed me my food had an excellent command of the English language and didn’t need assistance in comprehending what I had just said to her. Then, the resident “Karen” decides she was going to to rescue these two poor black girls from the “tyrannical” behavior of this black beast. Mind you, I’m only 5’9” tall. I then turned to Karen and told her to mind her business. I told her, i will never come back. She then proceeds to tell me , “we don’t want you here!” McCuse me???? Last I checked, your name is not RU or SAN. It’s a shame how in the midst of a pandemic, people who were begging for people to patronize their businesses to keep them afloat, could give less than a damn about good customer service!!! Shame!...
