This place is located in some sort of ghost kitchen, along with several other eating spots. When I got there, it was my first time learning what it was - a singular kitchen of some sort where all these food places prepare their food (I could be wrong). The pick-up area was a nightmare, there is virtually nobody there to assist you for your order. You have to use some kiosk to pull up your order by either manually entering in confirmation number (mine didn't work), or facing your order page towards the camera on the kiosk (didn't recognize anything). After waiting for 30+ minutes after my pickup time, the order hadn't even started preparation (according to the order status on my email confirmation). There were others waiting in that area for their food that were getting frustrated. Finally, someone came out and said their machine was broken but got it up and running (no other explanation earlier of this happening). I was about to leave but decided to wait another 20 minutes for my food but still no progress made on the order status from my email. Apparently once the order is ready, you get a text sent to you with a link to open the pick-up locker where the food is placed, but I never got one. At that point, I left. Whoever came up with this idea of a ghost kitchen should get fired. Trying to cut overhead costs at the expense of the customer getting a poor experience - other reviews say people have waiting a long time for their orders as well so this is a recurring issue. I'm sure the food is actually good, but I never got it and 1 star for deciding to...
Read moreJust a pickup and go. You can only order at the kiosk. Good luck getting extra sauces 😅 Also.. I thought the Shawarma Press was rated 4.9. I misread. I’ve been craving some middle eastern food for awhile. The shawarma and side items I got in Eilat were absolutely amazing so I wanted to eat something similar. 😅😅 The hummus was very watery at this location. It’ll taste much better if you make it at home. The beef? Very dried out. I expected the salad to be similar but it’s different countries, should have not thought that. The only thing that remotely tasted the same, was the falafel. Tahini is not made the same how it is over there, so that was bad too. Tasted like the generic tahini easy squeezable in Walmart maybe even worse. 😅 Spicy garlic sauce was pretty good though. I would have not spent 30 dollars there, but got a little too excited. I’ll just pick up some falafel to go if I ever ride by there. They don’t put napkins in the bag. I will say the young guy that works up at the front to hand over bags made sure to communicate I get my sauces though. He just handles the customers and did a good job. He kept calm when someone was in there getting mad and cursing about not getting enough yum...
Read moreThere was no tables, no counter, no staff, just kiosks system and lockers. If you’ve never been here, good luck figuring it out. The place is a pickup hub for multiple restaurants, with no sign for the one you’re looking for. Menus and screens are confusing, restaurants aren’t listed alphabetically, and there’s no search bar. We spent 10+ minutes just finding Shawarma Press on page 2 of 11.
They forced 15% tip for zero service. Our wraps were $15.99 each here but only $9.99 online at their John Creek location. Midtown location isn’t even listed for online orders on their website.
Food was mediocre: chicken wrap was okay, beef & lamb wrap had an overpowering lamb smell, cheese tart was dry and bland. Wraps weren’t labeled, my request to cut mine in half was ignored.
We came for a nice dinner but left frustrated and unsatisfied. Definitely not worth almost $50 for two wraps and...
