We had a party of 5 adults, 1 pre-teen and 2 small children. We were very disappointed with the food. I'm unsure why there are so many raving 4 & 5 star reviews...I'll chalk it up to we were all sober and not high off of something. I can't tell you how mortified I felt about suggesting your establishment for our get together when NBFC never fails.
The place wasn't packed as we were the only group sitting in our section closer to the kitchen.
Google score: Food - 1 star The breaded grouper with creamed spinach - very dry and possibly overcooked or left under the heat lamp, semi tasteless. By the 2nd bite of the fish I felt a certain level of appreciation for a McDonald's filet of fish sandwich. We had two orders of this.....I sent mine back. The other person said "it's not anything I'd order again" I feel she ate it out of curtesy (as she was a guest on our check"
The jambalaya - Stop it...just stop it! This dish only gets credit for the size of shrimp they used. I would describe the taste as hot and spicy w/o taste or real developed flavor. If they took more care in creating a decent jambalaya verses garnishing the plate with Old Bay....I may have given it a better review...like everything is better with "salt" When I sent my grouper back I asked for this as a replacement option....sigh!
The ribeye hash looked....well let's just say the ribeye came out brown. I don't recall the server asking the diner about the "cook" on his protein. It needs an overhaul.
Hamburger and mac 'n cheese is what our 12 y/o grand girl ordered. It was simply pasta and cheese sauce. No (sober) adult would want this on any given day.
We requested mashed potatoes for one of the little ones. I have no idea what that creation was. It's potatoes people. Not everything has to be sophisticated....but, thank you for trying.
Google score: Service - 1 star Our waitress was MIA most of the time, never checked on us, heck they had problems with juice for our 3 y/o grand. I had to summon her when a staffers would whiz right by us on that extremely dangerous and slippery floor.
Google score: Atmosphere - N/A
Cooking isn't for everybody. The folks cooking today need direction and need to taste the food before putting it on a plate. Doubtful if we will ever dine here again. For what was spent today, including tip, that could gone to 2 new tires.
If my review seems a bit too harsh, you're wrong. Paying what we paid for what we...
Read moreCame here for drinks after dinner at another establishment. Came up to the “newly renovated” rooftop bar where my companion and I were forced to stand behind a “velvet rope” while we waited for room to open at the bar. We could see that the bar was half full and we were told that people were sitting in the seats that were empty. After standing behind this velvet rope for another 10 minutes while an employee (Sarah) walking around in an outfit looking straight off the floor of Walmart told us we still had to wait while a group of geriatrics took selfies, I asked if standing room was allowed because as a bar, why can we not stand and enjoy a drink. I was specifically instructed that standing room only was not permitted until after 10. Understood. We continued to wait. We are finally allowed entry into the “super exclusive rooftop bar” only for a group of 7+ people to come in about 15 minutes later and stand within 8 inches of our table when there were no other seats available. What happened to standing room only only permitted after 10?? So I asked the Walmart-clad girl about the policy that we were specifically instructed applied to all patrons (mind you we are dressed well having come from my friend’s birthday dinner at Oaxaca club) at which time she interrupted me and said that after 9 they get a little busy and short staffed. I began to clarify my question since she so rudely interrupted me before I could finish my question originally, at which point she interrupted me AGAIN to reiterate that they made “an executive decision”. I asked her to please allow me to complete my question since she interrupted me twice now at which point she interrupted me FOR A THIRD TIME and told me that she heard what I said. At that point I just asked her name and thanked her for her information. The drinks are bitter. The service is atrocious. The only positive here is Michael who was a great host, Sarah was a nightmare and we will...
Read moreI’ve been to Coop303 twice now. The first time in 2019 and food was mediocre at best. I don’t even remember what I ordered, that’s how forgettable it was… The second time was last night, a Wednesday around 8pm, we were seated upstairs. My husband and I specifically asked for dishes to be coursed out and not brought out all at the same time (no one wants to have to rush or have to eat cold food). Waitress appeared friendly at first and said of course, that’d be no problem at all. We ordered the tots, fried green tomatoes and catch of the day, all for us to split. The tots were great, plenty of toppings. Not even half way through eating the tots, the fried green tomatoes were brought out. We were very kind and let it slide… but not even 3 minutes later, the fish came out while we are still eating the tots, haven’t even touched the tomatoes yet. We kindly ask for it to be taken back as we specifically asked for our dishes not to come all at once. The food runner gave us the dirtiest looks. Then waitress was extremely rude and stated that she can take it back, but it would just be sitting under a heat lamp until we wanted it. We asked why everything was made at the same time, seeing as we were very up front with our reasonable request. The waitress told us that next time, we should just come at a time that wasn’t so busy. It was a Wednesday, past dinner rush time, and plenty of tables were open. By the time we got to the tomatoes, they were cold, which automatically made them bad. We declined to have the fish at all. No one should have to pay over $40 for their fish to dry out under a lamp, at what is supposed to be a nice restaurant. The saddest part really was the horrible service and lack of will to do anything to honor our simple request. Telling your customer that it’s their fault that you didn’t follow through with your word is very distasteful… even more so than...
