I visited Brew Berry Cafe on a Saturday evening after seeing their vibrant Instagram presence for a while. I was genuinely excited to try their drinks and expected a warm, welcoming vibe. Unfortunately, the in-person experience didnât match the online energy at all.
When my family and I walked in, we werenât greeted. I even said âhello,â but it wasnât acknowledgedâjust some uncomfortable stares from the staff. It immediately made us feel unwelcome, like we didnât belong there. As my fiancĂ©e and I looked over the menu, we could feel the staff watching us, which added to the awkwardness.
When we placed our order, there still was no friendliness or even basic engagement. After our drinks were prepared, I said âthank youâ and, again, received no response. The lack of hospitality was really surprising, especially considering how upbeat and modern their social media looks.
The drinks themselves were decentâI had the iced chocolate-covered strawberry latte, and my fiancĂ©e had the mixed berry smoothie. Both were fine, but nothing that stood out.
Honestly, we had planned to hang out and enjoy the space, but the overall vibe made us so uncomfortable we decided to leave shortly after. I might consider giving it another shot, but the atmosphere would need to be a lot more welcoming for me to feel...
Read moreI visited this place twice. I had mixed experience. The first time I came was last Saturday. The place looks very modern. The staff was nice. I ordered Dubai chocolate crepe and Dubai strawberry cup. The crepe was nothing special, but the strawberry cup was so good and rich I finished it and went back and ordered another one. Today I went in early in the afternoon and I did not have a good experience. I ordered two Dubai strawberry cup and this is not something cheap, it cost me almost 30$. But I liked it so much the first time so for me it was worth the price. Well, the lady that took my order today not friendly at all, she took my order and never said another word to me after that, she made my cups with almost no pistachio cream because her bottle was empty and she was trying to squeeze the last bit in it instead of getting a new one, Pistachio cream is the whole idea of the Dubai strawberry cup, so basically it tasted like strawberries with chocolate and kataifi. She handed me my cups without saying a word. Zero customer service. I walked out feeling like I bothered her. I am sure the owners work really hard to have a successful business and the place doesnât deserve a bad review, but no customer should be feeling unwelcome for no reason and their orders should be prepared up to...
Read moreI really enjoy this place and loved that it was added to the neighborhood but the only thing I get disappointed on is the crepes. As someone who used to worked in a cafe that only serves crepes, I understand each cafe is different but whether I ordered a sweet or a savory crepe I always leave a little disappointed.
The one advice I can share when cooking the crepes is not overly drench it with whatever sauce the crepe comes with. I learned this by ordering a Nutella crepe and got back a crepe just filled with Nutella and was way too sweet to eat. The next time I came back and ordered my crepe with light Nutella and got back the same amount as a regular order. I could only eat half after scrapping most of it off, but had to give it away and couldnât enjoy the food I paid for. The same goes for the savory chipotle chicken crepe. Inside has a large amount of chipotle sauce which is fine, but then later is drenched in chipotle sauce AGAIN on top of the finished crepe making it not enjoyable to eat bc at that point you are only eating the sauce.
Besides the crepes, everything else in this cafe is worth trying bc of the amazing drinks and pastries to go. I hope they would ask each customer if they are okay with sauce being drizzled on the top of the crepe they are ordering,...
