Discriminatory and Unprofessional Treatment by Staff between the hour of 4-6pm on 5/24/2025.

Writing this review to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit to this store. I was singled out by staff and asked to present an ID solely because I did not have a physical membership card on hand. This request felt arbitrary and discriminatory, especially since the self-checkout system does not enforce the same policy.

What’s more troubling is that while I stood there, staff members conversed among themselves about me in a manner that was both unprofessional and demeaning. This behavior was not only disrespectful but also left me feeling targeted and humiliated.

To my knowledge, there is no clear policy in your membership agreement that states customers are required to present identification in the absence of a physical card. If this is indeed a regulation, then it should be clearly communicated to all customers and consistently enforced across all systems manual and automated.

I urge you to review your policies and ensure they are applied fairly and respectfully. No customer should feel racially profiled or spoken about inappropriately by the staff. I hope appropriate action is taken to prevent such behavior in the future.

BJ's is really good. They have great produce, a nice deli and a great meat section. They also have a wide variety of Frozen foods and dairy products. You can also place your order online, BJ's will pick your order for you and then deliver it to your car when you show up for your order. One of my problems with them is I sometimes place an order to pick up the next day at say 11:00 or 12:00. Oftentimes they will start picking the order at 6:00 in the morning when the bread has not yet been stocked on the shelves can I get a message that it's out of stock. However, there are times when I will go to pick up my order at 11:00 or 12:00 when they say it's out of bread and I will walk down to the bread aisle and the bread is there. It's nice that they shop for your items early, but sometimes early is too early. Still a good store for all the things I have mentioned above. I had an appointment at BJs to have all four tires replaced on my HONDA SUV. I drove to the appointment and dropped the car off. They told me it would be about an hour, so I opted to go shopping around BJs. After about 30 minutes I received a call, not that my car was done but to tell me that after getting the car on the lift they noticed that car was not in need of any tires at all. They didn't want to see me spend money on tires (even at their establishment) that were not needed. Workers, Anthony and Nate were so kind and professional. They lowered my car down and told me to come back when the car truly needed tires. I was so astonished and overwhelmed with gratitude that this company and these workers valued customers so much more than the bottom...
