Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Auburn

Prior to its closing in 2019 for construction, this Magnolia location of Chick-Fil-A in Auburn was the best hands down. Fastest service, freshest food (you can tell when they don't change their oil frequently enough) and generally best dimeanor among the employees.

Since they reopened after the construction and renovation, I just naturally assumed that the management and quality would be intact. I'm sorry to say that's not the case.

I decided to start writing this review 20 minutes into my drive thru visit at Chick-Fil-A. 20 minutes in line. My order has been taken, but I'm still here, and the line is wrapped around the parking deck pathway where the drive thru is now situated.

The food is no longer always-fresh like it used to be. Sometimes it's good, other times you can tell that they cooked the food to get ahead of the rush, so the fries have been sitting for a second. Or the strips had already been fried and waiting. Or the oil was old, so you have this slightly burned taste on the nuggets. Those little things make a difference, and you unfortunately can't guarantee that fresh Chick-Fil-A taste that you were expecting.

On top of that, they've gotten our sauce/condiment order request wrong at least 1 out of every 3 times we've come here.

Maybe they end up getting it right eventually, and maybe the staff turnover was too much to overcome. But it's been 6 months since they opened. That's usually enough time for a staff to settle in.

-1 Star for the slow service. If I can't count on getting in and out quickly, it's not really the same experience. That drive thru visit ended up taking 25 min. -1 Star for the food not being cooked perfectly each time. Again, there's a standard Chick-Fil-A has set for themselves and this location isn't meeting it.

The Chick-fil-A Sauce, with its rich, slightly smoky taste, is a crowd favorite and pairs wonderfully with the chicken. The Polynesian Sauce offers a sweet and tangy alternative, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of sweetness with their savory. The zesty Buffalo Sauce provides a nice kick for spice enthusiasts, while the Honey Mustard and Barbeque Sauces deliver classic, reliable flavors. The Garlic & Herb Ranch is creamy and aromatic, making it a great dip for both chicken and fries. These sauces are all amazing in their own right, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience.

My goodness the unprofessionalism! We placed an app order for a 12 nugget meal, 2 mac and cheeses, and a grill nugget kid meal. My husband drives there to pick up the order, drives back home, only to find that the 12 nuggets were NOT in the bag. My husband drives back to the restaurant and ask them to provide the nuggets and a fresh order of fries. This meal was for children to share, of course they were hungry, so we went ahead and gave the fries we had because they were available. Did the manager and workers really think it was appropriate to refuse to prepare us nuggets and fresh fries when we had to waste our gas to drive there and back TWICE on the account of a mistake they made? How tacky is this! My aunt had to demand a refund, but never in history would I have experienced such tackiness at a Chick Fil A restaurant. Clearly the workers are about antagonizing customers rather than providing superior service. Yes, we called Chick Fil A cares and yes we are putting this in writing as well.
