Chipotle is a better choice for a healthier meal than most places. And when properly staffed, you can get a meal fairly quickly. But this location suffers from the same problems as many other student-worked jobs: mediocre staffing and inconsistent service. When it's staffed well, the worst you can say is that the employees are somewhat light handed with the scoops of protein. Unfortunately, they're only fully staffed when the traffic is so high that you're guaranteed a long wait.
Unfortunately, online ordering for drive thru or pickup are abysmal. It's incredibly slow, so an order you placed 20 minutes prior to arriving still isn't ready when you get there. In fact, I've been waiting in store for 30min on an order that was placed 20min before I got here.
50 minutes and counting.
Anyway, they don't seem to have any urgency when preparing your food. While using the drive-thru pickup one time, I got to the window, gave the guy my name, and watched them make 5 meals at the prep station that they packed and put on shelves before they made the meal that was for me. I was there, waiting for my food, and the other orders were just being stashed. But I was waiting. 20min at the drive thru for an order they could have made in 5min after they knew I was there. But they didn't. They just worked leisurely and made meals in some pre-determined order.
On one hand, I want to give this location a break because they serve an unreal amount of traffic. But waiting in a dining room for 35min (and counting) for an order the app told you would be ready in 20min? There's no excuse for that. If they could just give you an accurate expected time when you place the order, that'd be great. Let me know what I'm walking into when I place this order. Let me decide between a long wait and a different restaurant.
But nope. No such luck. They aren't that considerate of your time.
Your best bet is to go in-store so they can make your order fresh right after peak times. They're sure to be staffed and more likely to be swift. Other than that? Good luck.
EDIT:
Dropping to two stars from three because I've been here for 45min (1:05 since ordering) and still haven't received my food. F@&$ this place man.
EDIT:
Dropped to 1 star. Total time from order to receiving? 1hr 10min. Laughable portions, missing ingredients, incorrect ingredients. Couldn't even bother to fill up my large cup of guac. Guac isn't even touching the lid.
Tiger Town location from now on....
Read moreI’ve never experienced worse customer service from any other Chipotle or really any establishment for that matter. While I could go on and add to the reviews about the cold and dry food, the most important thing to me was how I was outrightly disrespected… by the workers and even worse... the manager. I ordered a simple meal on the app and used my points on a side cup of queso with it. The app wouldn’t let me add it to my order, but took my points for it. I didn’t think that was a big deal and decided to tell the staff while I was at the store. When I reached the store, l was handed my bag of food and I asked one of the workers about the queso and showed her my QR code for it. The worker told me that she didn’t know how to help me and pointed to another worker preparing the bowls. I was willing to wait patiently until she got done, but as I was talking to the previous worker another one appeared from the back. She was listening in on the conversation and said that they don’t deal with the app and that I had already paid so there was nothing they could do. I was about to walk out but remembered that I had essentially paid for this queso using my points. I went back to the counter and waited. All of the workers from inside the store looked at me while I waited and when it was my turn, I showed the worker the terms and conditions and we both saw how no purchase was necessary for this queso that I had been trying to get them to scan me for the whole time. When the code was scanned, it worked in the system and the worker yelled for a side cup of queso. I misunderstood and thought that it was a question to which I responded “yes” to. She looked at me and said “I wasn’t talking to you.” I asked for her name and it turns out that this was the manager of this store and her name is Shakira White. When I explained that there was no need to be rude and I asked who she reported to, she said that she was banning me from this store. It’s embarrassing on Chipotle’s end that this is who they chose to represent their company in a manager position. I can only imagine how the workers must feel having to work under that. All in all, you would have a better experience going to ANY other Chipotle. And for anyone who is looking to work at a Chipotle, for the sake of saving yourself from this woman’s disrespect, do not work under Shakira White. She needs to be fired...
Read moreWell as some others have said, this place has portion issues. You'll get a full portion of some of the meat items some of the time, but you'll never get a whole portion of steak. Nah, never. And given that I don't bother with Chipotle unless I order "extra" for full size scoops, it's kind of irritating.
Also, unfortunately, most of the employees that work at this one don't seem to really give a s*. Most of my orders here end up screwed up one way or another (and I'm not exaggerating, I've had exactly two orders from this Chipotle that weren't screwed up to some degree, and the guy that made one of those orders was a friend of mine), and quite frankly after a full day of work (which for me is 9-12 hours), I'm not interested in putting up much of an argument to have it fixed. If they haphazardly throw beans on it after I tell them not to (thrice that's happened) I'll mention something because that makes my order inedible to me, but other than that I just "whatever" my way out of the place as fast as possible.
Seriously, with all of the people in tiny little Auburn that actually want jobs, there's no real need to have a bunch of jackasses that don't give a flip working here. Every time I go (which is now about once every 3 months at this point) I end up disappointed, and I guess eventually I'll finally stop bothering with this place. But good grief man, somebody at the place needs to try a little. Fortunately my job lets me steer people away from places like this, but every now and then I just have to get something. Call me a glutton for punishment because I ALWAYS get punished.
Anslie Brant, I don't mean for this to come off weird, but I read your review and as an employee you seem to give a f*. For the love of corn salsa can I just call up there and see when you're working so maybe I can stop hating this place so much? Seriously at this point I place online orders so it can be read EXACTLY what's supposed to be in my order and I STILL can't get an order without something missing or worse, something on it that I...
