War Eagle Supper Club — Restaurant in Auburn

Honestly, the food here was surprisingly low quality for a restaurant inside a Hilton hotel. The $17 double-patty burger had less meat than I’d expect from a taco truck. On top of that, the patties were extremely overcooked—chewy to the point it was hard to get down, but I was starving so I had no choice. I was expecting a big, juicy burger, but boy, was I let down.

The pizza was just soggy bread with some kind of tomato paste and melted cheese. No seasoning, nothing to make it appetizing. It was so soggy we couldn’t even eat it. The only standout from the whole meal was the fried mozzarella cheese, which was obviously premade—but still tasty.

The burgers were the most shocking part; I couldn’t believe a Hilton would serve them. On the plus side: service was friendly, the view is great, and the beer selection is excellent (though pricey).

Bottom line—come here for the beer and view, you won’t be let down. But if you’re hungry, skip the food and head to the Whataburger a few blocks away. Their burgers are miles better than what’s...

Lily our server was friendly and quick with service. All service was efficient, accommodating and friendly. Everything we tried food and drink was great. We especially loved the fried mozzarella!! Best we’ve had! Drinks were great! The margaritas were a little too small. The Bloody Mary was great! The atmosphere was incredible with the walls opened up to outside on this beautiful day. Great views from the balcony with a cool eagle’s nest to get a picture in if you want with a view of Samford Hall in the background. Fire pits, umbrellas, and lots of seating. Cool memorabilia on the walls and AU Glom yearbooks to look through. They did have two medium large tvs on each end of the main room and a large rolling tv stand on the opened patio. What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we loved how the hotel and restaurant beautifully honor the spirit and theme of the college town—it adds such a fun, unique charm to the setting.

The staff was attentive and friendly, and our server, Paul, delivered absolutely amazing service—he made the evening even more enjoyable with his professionalism and care.

The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced (not overly salty like some places tend to be). Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the price point was surprisingly affordable for the quality.

There’s no self-parking, but valet service is available at the hotel.
