I've been to at least 6 sushi places in the area. From what I've had, this is the best. The restaurant is very clean and the service is excellent. The basic salmon and tuna rolls are so well made and served that they would make the meal stand on their own.
If you dine in, you get a savory miso soup that almost competes with the sushi.
You can tell this place pays attention to detail, since the ginger and wasabi is not only perfectly portioned, but very flavorful.
The deep fried rolls are rich while maintaining a very specific flavor profile. In my experience, eating other restaurants deep fried rolls have me feel a little tired or lethargic. But these don't. They are well-balanced. I call them sushi dessert. I love the Kobe roll especially.
The family who runs this restaurant are gracious and attentive. They are willing to make recommendations and answer any questions, but they also give you your space.
Overall, it's a great place for singles, dates, or families to enjoy together. We're grateful to have such a great sushi...
Read moretonight we went with my family to this restaurant, ordered 7 types of sushi, waited 1 hour, they didn’t serve us, my kids so tired and wants eat ,child was already crying, the order was brought in 1 hour and 10 minutes! the rice was soft like porridge, it was not possible to take sushi, they brought our entire order, two types were not enough at once for 40 minutes and all the sushi was just porridge, when I chose where the other type was, they said that they had already brought it and we already ate!!! I count all types! I called the chef, he said what he did and gave us the order, I said we would not pay for what we didn’t eat, the chef said that he would show the video recording but another 15 minutes passed but nothing happened, we got up, I said I don’t want pay for that sushi which one I don’t eat the chef began to threaten the police !!!! Read moreIt might because this place is kinda tucked away in Auburn but definitely a hidden gem. We've been looking for a homey spot and this fits all the boxes. Sushi rolls have really good cuts of fish, and just the right ratio of filling to topping. It's just a really satisfying bite. The California roll topped with salmon is called the Alaska roll, good choice if the only 'sushi' you're used to are supermarket California rolls. Try this one for a not crazy but delicious step into trying more raw fish 😋. The one covered in sauce below was a combination of spicy crab, tempura and topped with white tuna and possibly ebi (shrimp), our favorite roll of the meal (🐯 White Tiger roll). And last but not least the chicken fried rice 🐔 🍚, weird to say but it's such a comforting dish. Probably not something to eat daily but definitely a repeat when we're here again or just getting takeout. Looking forward to trying their other rolls and kitchen entrees. The chefs here are on point for both the cold and hot sides of...
