I went here awhile back. I decided to take the family to enjoy like a late lunch.. there was a total of four of us. Me, my boyfriend, our daughter, and our grandfather. We ordered our food. They served us. We got our food. I asked for sweet and sour sauce. They gave us a cup of sweet and sour and it had Ants in it. I’m not talking one ant I’m talking like 5-10 ants in that cup. I told my significant other “I ain’t eating our food and dipping my food in that. Do you see that there is ants in this cup.” So my boyfriend tells the server/hostess “there are ants in this sweet and sour sauce.” Server/hostess says “no there isn’t.” We tried to tell him you gave us a cup with ants in this sweet and sour sauce so many times and he really kept denying it. Ok if there was one ant in there he could’ve acted like he didn’t know what it was or how it got in there. But to have multiple ants in the sweet and sour sauce and deny it. You know we left right after that still paid for our food tip them a decent tip. We never went back ever since that day… if you like ants in your food keep going here.. shouldn’t that be a sign to clean up your restaurant more better i don’t know. I wanted to tell the server you eat it then since you didn’t see those ants in the sweet and sour sauce lol. But we didn’t we didn’t react the way we felt we wanted to or maybe should’ve reacted towards this server/hostess that took our food. We didn’t make a scene we just left.. never...

I read a couple of (very rare) reviews on here that give the food a low score. That's CRAZY. We've been coming to China House for YEARS and never had a bad meal. The owner/chef is Chinese, the staff are Chinese, and we've traveled to China ourselves, and the food, while "Americanized," can be made as authentic as you want it. Just ask.

I know the owner buys fresh from local markets, and doesn't compromise on quality.

The chicken and meat in most dishes is "velveted," (a unique tenderizing process prior to cooking) and is always delicious.

The won ton and egg flower soups are very delicate (I always add a little soy sauce), and several other soups are available and I notice very popular with other customers.

The BBQ pork is made in their kitchen, the egg roles are made fresh daily and delicious, and dishes like Snow White Chicken (again with a little soy sauce), Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, Tomato Beef, Sweet and Sour Prawns, and Mo Shu Pork are always big hits.

If you want a good, solid Chinese meal at a very reasonable cost, with some left-overs to take home (the servings are generous), China House is your kind of place.

And the service is always friendly. The place gets packed sometimes and they are on the run, but don't hesitate to wave them down and ask for help....they always...

I have been searching for a good Chinese food restaurant for a while now and have tried a bunch of them in the area that were ok but definitely not as good as I’d hoped. After searching through various chinese food places for the 100th time and being frustrated by all of the mixed reviews I decided to take a gamble on this place and I am so glad that I did! After reading through the mixed reviews of this place I figured it would end up being mediocre like every other place I’ve tried but it ended up being FAR BETTER!!! Normally I end up only liking maybe 2 or 3 things out of the various items that come with the Family Dinners but I ended up liking every single thing that we got from China House. We got the General Tso’s chicken, Chow Mein, Pork fried Rice, Fried Almond Chicken, Potstickers, Mongolian Beef, BBQ pork, Fried prawns and wonton soup (the China House Special Dinner) and all of it was amazing. The employees were so friendly when I picked up my order and they packaged everything really well and had it all laid out in a cardboard box so it was easy to transport everything home. This is definitely going to be where I get our Chinese food from now on. I highly recommend giving this...

Very friendly and attentive server. Very clean, calm , very relaxing decorations and atmosphere. Food servings are huge! I ordered the lunch special bean curd with vegetables. WOW. Lots of different veggies compared to all othere Chinese restaurants I have been to. The veggies that I see are snap peas, baby corn, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, zucchini and onions. I did also order the appetizer chicken wings thinking "need" more food. Nope! I had to get take out boxes. Also, the wings are deliciously crispy outside and juicy inside. They are "whole wings" style just like rhe ones I remember eating at street hawker's stalls in Malaysia and Singapore. Yes, my dear American friends, the wing tips and all. That's the best part if cooked right :)

Really, really good food. Excellent service, we were sat down very quickly. Calm & quiet atmosphere. I ordered the Mongolian beef medium spicy with white rice ( no subbing for fried rice unfortunately will have to buy the family size plate). My friend ordered the curry shrimp & mentioned it was really good, lots of veggies. The beef was delicious, not tough to eat & they gave so much I had more than enough for left overs. The sauce on the beef was hands down the best sauce ive ever had on Mongolian beef EVER. The rice could have been cooked for maybe 2 more minutes but otherwise a strong 8/10. Would recommend to everyone. Each dish was about $13-$15 each.

The food has always been great. It's your staple mandarin/szechuan meals, there had been times where the food looked kind of boring and others where it looks spectacular. Like the photo I included of Combo Dinner No. 2. The presentation and the way the food is cooked is great. I'm not too much of a food snob, but their food has never made me not want to come back for more. The inside decorations are a bit dated, but there is some sort of weird charm to it for me. I dont know, it was never a problem in my eyes. The staff are nice and will strike up a conversation with you when they're not busy, I never had a problem with them.
