Bought Glow Tea again this year. And it was the best bubble tea at the fair! The tapioca pearls were perfect and chewy, the lychee was tasty, the passion fruit tea was perfectly sweet and even had the seeds!!! They had a self order kiosk section that was super convenient and when you did interact with witht the employees it was short and sweet. And they turned on the lights when they handed it out to make sure people saw the glow!! They also had Boa Box and I'm so excited to order both again next year! Please come to the fair every year from now on! Best drink and food we had at the fair and definitely telling anyone to go there (also cute inflatable)
2 years ago review---Bought the Passion fruit Glow tea at the Puyallup State Fair and was extremely disappointed. The price of the smallest size option was nearly $20 It wasn't filled all the way, had no sugar at all, I did order both the boba and lychee toppings and didn't say if they were extra or not and it was still bitter. Customer service wasn't rude but they definitely weren't happy to be there. It's been a week now, and I did take home the cute little lightbulb they give you.
I figured that's why the name Glow tea, no in fact a week after the fair we realized there is a little switch on the bottom to turn on the lights and make it glow pretty colors, it's really bright too! Super cool, it would have been awesome to use it too had we known.
The novelty of it was cool, but I don't plan to buy again when it didn't take...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSmall cute stand, I ended up getting the bulb for the cup. It has lights at the bottom, but unfortunately it's pretty pricey ($5), so pretty much doubles your drink price. Though, apparently you can take the thing back and ask for a refill for less.* You take an order at a screen, which was fine, but there were no options for sweetness or ice, only what toppings you'd like or snacks on the side. Which the ice was fine, since it was crushed and in a small amount, but I wished I could've adjusted the sweetness. Also... For a menu tab called "boba milk tea", I would've expected that the drink I got already included boba and you wouldn't have to pay more for the topping, but I guess not. Anyways, service wasn't great*, but it's what you'd expect from teenagers working for some hours. Overall, experience was alright.
Edit: Went back, and the refill menu is right next to the order counter, where you're supposed to get the refills. *Turns out you can adjust sweetness and ice amount at the counter, and *service this time was actually really good! Charming and helpful people. Definitely recommend going there, and maybe it's because it's different people or because it's an earlier shift, but the people there...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time I saw it, I was in a bit of hurry so I couldn't get it. There was a line of about 2-3 people if I were to get it. Second time I passed by, there was about 3 people in front of me. I had time so I stopped by and decided to try it out. Everyone was kind enough to enforce social distancing (standing 6 feet apart), the crew wear mask and have the transparent cover between the cashier and the customer. I ordered the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, large size. Did not regret it at all! My only feedback is to have a bit more brown sugar (I'm just so in love with that brown sticky delicious slime-looking thing lol.) But it was still delicious! The tapioca is chewy, some stick to one another. And if you but the large size bulb, you can save that bulb, wash it when you get home, then bring it next time for a refill (not free but not expensive!) Totally worth buying the large bulb if you're a fan of bubble teas, milk teas. They also sell waffles like Happy Lemon although I didn't try it, probably will...
