I have been a loyal customer of Peking Buffet for many years and come once a week with my family for lunch or dinner, but after my recent visit, I feel compelled to leave a review. During my visit the other day, I witnessed something extremely disturbing. One of the waitresses, who I’ve never seen before this visit, grabbed food from a customer’s table and ate it with her ungloved and unwashed hands. When I saw this happen, I immediately asked another employee for her name, which I was told Wendy. This is not only unsanitary but also completely unacceptable in any dining establishment, especially a buffet.
As someone who has frequented this restaurant regularly, I’ve always had a positive experience, but this has made me seriously question the safety and cleanliness practices here. The lack of hygiene in a buffet setting, where food is shared by many people, is a major health concern. I believe this issue should be addressed immediately, as it poses a HUGE risk for spreading bacteria and disease. I am reaching out to management with this feedback in hopes that proper hygiene practices will be enforced for the safety of the customers. If this is not resolved, I will have to escalate the matter to the health department of sanitation....
Read moreI recently dined at this Chinese buffet and was thoroughly impressed with both the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant. The layout of the buffet was exceptionally well-organized, making for an inviting and seamless dining experience.
The presentation of the food was inviting, with each dish looking fresh and appetizing. The flavors of the dishes were a true delight, with each bite being a testament to the quality and care put into the food preparation. In particular, the hot and sour soup was a standout. As someone who has a penchant for this dish, I found it to rival my favorite spot in Benton Harbor, Michigan, which is a high bar to meet.
Moreover, the value for money was excellent, adding to the overall dining pleasure. The service was exemplary, with attentive and efficient staff contributing to a wonderful meal.
In summary, my experience was nothing short of excellent. I highly recommend this buffet to anyone looking for delicious Chinese cuisine in a pleasant setting. Whether you’re a fan of hot and sour soup or any other classic Chinese dish, this place is...
Read moreI've been going here since I was young. Probably since late 2003. I would rant and rave about how much I love the food. But new owners are a total let down it has been a very rapid decline. They instantly remove staple products and change many recipes. The sesame chicken, which was one of my favorites, has been removed and replaced with some repugnant sea food boil that would probably go well with a side of puking and diarrhea. The chicken on a stick has been changed and is now very bland. The fried rice tastes burn and rancid. The over all food quality is disgusting. Everything is either over or under cooked. As for the wait staff. They were cold and unresponsive. I was there for nearly 40 minutes with a empty glass for the majority of the time and had to walk up to get my check since the teenage who runs the join apparently, was playing on his phone. Honestly I dont know if I've ever been more disappointed and heart broken over a restaurant. Oh and its $16.00 per person for that nasty meal plus your drink cost. I will sadly not be going back while its under the...
