Traveling home from out of state, we decided to stop specifically for the buffet, as this seemed quite unique for a "fast food" place. The restaurant was empty, and the buffet looked full, but as soon as we walked in and ordered we were told they were considering shutting down the buffet due to being short staffed. Now, I don't know what short staffed looks like, but there were about six employees who appeared to just be standing around. They allowed us to order the buffet anyway, but as soon as we sat down to eat we were informed that they'd be shutting it down in 40 minutes. Fine, whatever.. I doubt we'll be that long anyway. However, it was dinner time and EVERY person that came in after us ordered the buffet. Seriously, like eight people. They allowed them to order, informing each person that they'd be closing the buffet at five. Sure enough, five o'clock and they THROW AWAY ALL OF THE FOOD. They had just put fresh chicken out, yet here they are throwing it away, when people are still coming in and want to order. Seems to me that if that's what people want wouldn't you just keep it going? It's got to be more difficult cooking up individual orders for each customer than it is to keep the buffet stocked. This entire ordeal would have been less annoying if the staff had even been remotely friendly or courteous. They definitely seemed annoyed that people wanted the buffet, to the point of making me feel bad that I even ordered it. Was really looking forward to this unique experience of all I could eat crispy KFC chicken, ended up sorely disappointed. Hope this was a one time thing for the...
Read moreKFC is a predictable place to eat for the most part. The chicken was better this time. We ordered Extra Crispy & we got Extra Crispy. The previous 2 visits, we ordered E.C., but received regular without any explanation or apology. There is no point in reporting errors to the restaurant. No make it right policy evidently. Both times told, "we'll try to do better next time". If we had eaten in the restaurant, I don't think the issue would/ could be "solved" the same way. But when take out is ordered, picked up in drive thru, and any problem isn't discovered until arriving home, issues aren't dealt with the same, or at all. KFC is one of the most expensive fast food restaurants out there. Over the years the chicken pieces have shrunk. All of the sides are a literal fraction of what they used to be. A family side used to be a quart,(and you got 3), 2 biscuits each, & 2 gravies which were full pints. I have looked at family pictures of KFC picnics, confirming my memory. Now each person gets equal parts side & gravy, none a quart or pint. With a family of 6, each one would get approximately 1 piece of chicke & 1½ tablespoons of each side. KFC is one of MANY take out restaurants that "deal" with Employee mistakes the same way. My other half is the one who likes KFC. I personally wouldn't return after 2 major errors not being made right. It is not just this location or brand that deals with "mistakes" the same way. It seems to be...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband mother and I ate here yesterday by the afternoon we all had very bad stomach aches and could barley move. I didn’t go to work today and my mother went in but left early. While she was there she found out another coworker of hers his and his wife ate at the same kfc in auburn yesterday as well and got sick. The past few visits have been horriable The staff just don’t seem to care not polite at all. The last time I ate there my chicken was raw. This time we ordered and came home and ly corn looked like it was from the day befor it was brown and just the kernel itself. Nothing on the inside. We definitely won’t be eating here for...
