Five Lakes Coffee — Restaurant in Auburn

I came in on Saturday and ordered three (3) coffees (2 cold 1 hot). I got the hot one and stood there waiting forever. I didn't say anything, as they were busy. The worker asked if/what I was waiting on and I told her. Both of my frozen drinks had been sitting at the drive through and were melting. I go through the drive this am, order my drink WITHOUT whip cream. I'm handed the credit card machine, I run my card and leave a tip (BEFORE getting my drink/food). I get my frozen drink WITH whip cream. The girl waiting on me tells another girl. The other girl looked overly disgusted, took my coffee, literally wiped the whipped cream off and gave it back. Now i have coffee all over my cup (and I'm on my way to work mind you). I tell the lady at the window to let the other gal know how shitty that was and there was no reason to treat me that way! My first time here after hearing great things about this place. Overall great staff and a great selection of coffee related drinks. It looked like they had a decent selection of food (pastries and breakfast bagel type) options also. While what I ordered was great and the staff was super friendly I only gave it 4 stars for two reasons. 1. The drink was luke warm. I don't know if mine was a one off or not but it was definitely not hot. 2. I ordered raspberry syrup in my coffee and it was very raspberry tasting. Yes, just what I ordered I know. However, next time I'll ask for half of what they usually put in.

I love coming to this Five Lakes because the workers are always so friendly and helpful! I’ve been to some of the other stores and I always find this one so much cleaner and more inviting inside! I get an iced white chocolate caramel mocha and it is amazing every time! My favorite part about this store was the pet wall and I am so sad to see it go. That was the first thing that I would look at when I came in the store and while I was waiting for my drink. I’m really disappointed that it was taken down. I would love to see it be put back up where all customers could see it. I feel that it is an important part of a small business to build a community with their area and this just seems like a poor decision on the...
