Red Roof Inn Auburn — Hotel in Auburn

We stayed here for about 10 days. Around day 6 or 7, the male housekeeper lied and said our dog peed on the bed so the manager suggested we start taking pics of the room before we leave because "the housekeeper doesn't like us and he does shady things to get people banned." I asked why he doesn't like us and was told it's because we don't tip him. Why would I tip him to clean the room for the next person? He makes as much as I do an hour. We pick up and clean the room before we leave. They just have to vacuum, change the linens and wipe things down. The manager told me he suspected the housekeeper peed on the bed himself because it didn't smell like dog urine. Well the second time the housekeeper lied, he said our dog peed on the bed and pooped in the trash can. My dog is potty trained, but not to the extent that he poops in trash cans 🙄 We took pictures of the room before we left like the manager instructed us to do. Upon trying to check in again, we were told we had been put on a no-stay list. They told us the reason why and I said I have pictures. He said they do too. I showed my photos and asked to see theirs but was told no. I asked to speak to someone higher and was told no. I asked to have contact info for the owner and was told no. They said I can talk to the owner when he comes in so I asked when he'd be in and he said they don't know that information. The housekeeper hates dogs and hates people that don't tip him even though there is no reason to tip him. The rooms were not even cleaned well. Anyway, if the male housekeeper hates you or your dog... He will pee on the bed and poop in the trash can, then he'll say...

Worst hotel I’ve EVER stayed at. I stayed in 3 different rooms. Each room was completely nasty. Every bed in each room had hairs in the bed/in the shower. When I checked into my last room the toilet wasn’t even flushed. The sheets and blankets had god only knows what stains on them. The walls were paper thin. You could hear everyone’s conversations. The staff constantly sat in the back on their phone and only came out when you finally started yelling for someone. The microwave in one room didn’t work. The other one was nasty and not cleaned. I watched them clean the room I had to previous night through the peep hole (I was put into a room right across from the one I had the night before) they didn’t change the sheets. They just remade both beds. (I stayed in 110-109-108) the cleaning lady entered my room and threw away my food I bought the night before (I have no idea what gave her the right to do so) I told the staff and they told me (well don’t leave it on the table then) I’m sorry but they shouldn’t be touching peoples stuff during a pandemic. None of the staff wears a mask. So if your big on that I wouldn’t stay here. The shower curtain in 109 has a bunch of brown and red stains. I had to ask for them to reclean the room and they refused. The chair in the corner or the room in 108 had god awful stains on them. Overall a VERY dirty and nasty hotel. There was mold in the crack of heat/air unit on the top where it connects to wall, found dirty used q-tips in bathroom on floor, the floor was sticky, the sheets had big yellow stain spot, inside the coffee pot in the room was nasty dirty, the microwave had baked stuck on food inside whole thing, the refrigerators freezer had so much built up ice that could hardly fit anything in it, alarm clock was 4 hours off regular time, the wall slide lock for the door was not even screwed into the door the right way, the telephone was also dirty. Overall for the price that was paid I'd say it was not worth staying there at all plus checked in at 1am and had to be out by 11am same day. I do not recommend staying there again especially since there's more hotels located around same area that is probably a lot cleaner.
