Beware of the racist blonde white female DJ!!

I went to the Loft tonight for my birthday with some friends and my husband. The DJ was a white blonde female who was playing all types of genres back to back. My husband,who is black, wanted to request a song, so went up to the DJ AND BEFORE HE COULD SAY ANYTHING, the DJ who is repeat, a white female stated that she's doesn't play any TRAP music! He hadn't even said anything and automatically assumed that since he was black he was going to request "trap music". THIS IS NOT OKAY! I don't know what her definition of "trap music" is .

I spoke with the manager at the bar and she stated she would go talk to her. The manager went and talked to the racist DJ for several minutes. Nobody ever came and talked to us or apologized or anything. The Loft was very unprofessional and it felt they did not care and brushed this off. All my friends and I left and we will not come back. The only thing that came out of this was the DJ played more rap music after "the talk".

Just know if you decide to come here, you might be attacked by a bouncer!! Some friends and I went out for a couple drinks and some karaoke. We were told by a bouncer that we couldn’t vape, but before we could comply, we were asked to leave. My friend calmly said he’d like to finish his beer that he paid for first, and he was attacked by a bouncer who put him in a headlock. Then his bouncer buddies proceeded to drag my friend out, all the while cussing us out. Unbelievable. We are currently undergoing an investigation to press charges against these idiots. This isn’t the 1950’s, you can’t grab black people by the neck anymore. Whatever you do, stay clear of this racist...

I love the Loft itself...great atmosphere!!! Problem I have is slow service...had to ask 3 times if I could get some service from 2 bartenders that were right in front of me. The bar was not busy at all. Only three of us. All three of us waited patiently on the two bartenders hoping that they would notice us and do their job. They didn't so I asked for us. Each time getting louder until they heard us. Again, I love coming here but would come more often if the service was alot quicker and smiled with better attitudes. Visited the Loft Saturday...
