Starbucks — Restaurant in Augusta

I went to this location today to pick up an order for delivery. I walked in to 5 workers including one manager, I assume, 5 customers, myself and the gentleman that came in after me. I politely walked to the counter and informed the associate I was there for a pick order for delivery. The associate (for privacy purposes i will not name) acknowledged my request. The associate stated "they were making my order shortly ", so I proceed to have a seat and wait. After the original 5 customers being served, 3 walkins/mobile orders, another delivery driver walking in with a large order (made within 5 mins of her arrival), and remaking 2 drinks they had made messed up for previous customers do you think my 2 DRINKS were ready? Oh, not to mention the almost 10 mins of goofing off behind the counter was also accomplished in that timeframe. If you guessed NO you are right!

I was there waiting to be acknowledged or updated about my order and was extremely disappointed. I walked up to another associate and asked about the status of my order and reiterated I am a delivery driver, she had the audacity to ask me if i told anyone that? I remind you the store at this point is empty, and i am sitting at a table directly in front of their counter. This worker proceeds to look less than 2 feet from where she stood and said "oh i think this is your order!". Once i realized my time had been wasted, i inquired about why noone called my order? The previous employee proceeds to tell me with extreme aggression and attitude "yeah they were but i got busy with other people orders! ".

To say, I was blown away at the lack of respect and care these individuals are PAID to provide is an understatement. I asked to immediately speak with a manager and one associate walks to the back and comes back to say there is no manager here. The associate stated " she must have went to lunch". Confused that NO manager was "available " I asked if the associate in all black i saw earlier was the manager or team lead. The associate with attitude proceeds to say " I don't know, I don't pay attention to them".

Had I not already been extremely behind schedule AND risking my rating /tip, I would have invested more time to this situation. Having worked in the hospitality/ customer service industry for majority of my adult life, and a business owner, I was extremely disappointed in the behavior, lack of respect, courtesy this crew embody.

I caution you to please think very carefully about stopping by this...

I want to make this clear. The staff are very kind. I can't recall ever having anyone be anything but friendly and pleasant. I've read the other reviews, and I am going to have a polarizing opinion here. The wait times, no matter how long the drive thru line is, isn't an issue. They are actually one of the faster locations. They move a very long line, very fast. The issue is, due to how quickly I'm sure the staff are pressured to move us through, the quality control has become next to none. My drinks 9 times out of 10, taste extremely rushed. This morning, first in a line of only 2 cars, very early in the morning, hence no reason to rush, and my 2 drinks were Luke warm at best and one drink was extremely sweet and the other not at all and I ordered two of the exact same drinks. The busy drive thru is not due to staff moving slow. It's from people ordering these crazy huge orders in the drive thru, rather than going inside to order, due to the cafe being closed to the public. I am a regular. Most know me by name. I spend way too much money on Starbucks. But it's my chosen vice. I just really wish that the drinks would be made with intent and care. It's gotten pretty bad. On a happier note. The Peach Orchard Rd location is, killing the game!!!!! Absolutely phenomenal. I only go to that location once a week when I'm on that side of town for medical reasons but I always look forward to it. I've never gotten one bad drink there. Not one. And the taste of everything is drastically more fresh than every other location for whatever reason. Please, give Dakota a raise!!! That girl...

*3rd follow up and again district manager will reach out within 48 hrs and what I get is crickets #starbucks what happened to your customer service?? **Follow up..Called corporate@starbucks they also took a complaint and assured me their district manager would call within 48hrs.. now I know why the employees are slackers and don’t care. I have heard nothing but crickets out of their district manager.!!! Actually stopped in there last night, walked up to the store at 7:49 there were two cones in the middle of the store. The girl had mopped she had blonde hair and a ponytail, and then there was a girl behind the counter, and to my surprise, the blonde girl with ponytail or brown hair, whatever it was Came directly to the door as I was walking up, opened it and switched the locks down on the door and I said are you guys closed and she ignored me didn’t say one word shut the door and locked it right in my face and then I walked up to the door to look at the time that they closed and it said 8 o’clock and I knocked on the door and both girls looked at me and then proceeded to walk away to the very back of the store so I could no longer see them . One would think considering the masters are going on in the Augusta Georgia area this week that the Starbucks employees would be on point and be on their best behavior. I was coming in to have them give us several cups of coffee and a couple of espresso.
