Ok, so I come here ALL of the time, I’m pretty sure if I sat down one of the waitress would remember me because I always got her. I also order for pick up sometimes. With that being said yesterday I had an order, the women who answered the phone didn’t understand my order it seemed. I asked to speak with someone else and she told me no, I went over about 6 times with her to make sure my order was correct. She then went over what she had for me and that was that. Come pick up I get home and I HAVE EVERYTHING IN MY BOIL . And the calamari was so rubbery, mind you when pick up orders are done I ALWAYS get a call back letting me know it’s ready and I only like around the corner, but I didn’t get a call this time. So once the 15 minutes were about over I headed here. Anyways when speaking to the manager Vivian, she couldn’t even get my order right to know what I had, I asked to speak to another manager she said there’s no one else. So I tell her about 4 times what’s wrong and then she tell me to bring my food back, I’m sorry but where I work due to Covid-19 protocol and all, we do not take back any food we hand out to our customers. Then she tells me she is to busy right now to discuss this and she needed to call me back, when I had already told her I have to be at work. This was very unprofessional! There was no calling me back and I couldn’t go back last night due to me having to head to work. She then tried to blame the kitchen staff!!! No. This was the work of the person answering the phone because the order was rung up wrong! I’m honestly disgusted at how this went. Never have I dealt with anything like this, this is literally my favorite place to come out of Augusta in general and to have dealt with this was a smack in the face because usually safe are AMAZING. I’ve never had problem with my calamari ( most likely because it had sat there which I can take my part in because I shouldn’t have waited for them to call even though they always do ) and I get it all the time. & never had I have issues with my order. I always thought a 5 star was not enough but now with the staff working the front smh. Terrible. ESP to blame your staff members under you in the back? What time of “manager” are you? Now I’m not sure if the black women who usually works nights when I come in doesn’t work here anymore or if she is just off but she definitely needs...
Read moreSo, I placed an order last night for 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of crab, 1/2 pound of scallops, and 4 eggs. I picked up my order around 8:30, and arrived home around 11pm. When I opened my bag I noticed that the scallops and all but 1 egg were missing. Of course I immediately called the restaurant, which no one answered! When I checked google it said they were closed. Ok, fine no problem I will call when they open.
Need I mind you, the missing items totaled out to 17.99. Upon calling today, I asked to speak to a manager. I explained the issue and was asked a series of questions in regard to my ticket number, items missing, if the food was eaten etc. When asked why I didn't call, I explained that I did and that they were obviously closed by the time I realized the food was missing. When I began to state that I took pictures upon opening the bag etc, the manager was very rude and unconcerned to the point she began talking to someone else in the background.
When she returned she ignorantly asked, I'm sorry what were you saying?! I re-explained the issue, only to be told that I should've basically not eaten last night and brought the food back. I originally started eating here because of the reviews and because Red Crab has decreased dramatically. However, now knowing that the customer service lacks at this restaurant, I will be returning to red crab! When customer service is 100% your job, do your damn job, offer reassurance to your customers and practice active listening! I was going to let it slide, but now I'm going to mention that the shrimp was mushy upon tasting it also. Way to...
Read moreSlightly better than juicy crab and definitely more convenient only because it's closer to home some small variations in terms of comparisons to juicy crab on Washington road is that the low country boil here at top crab came with three short corn on the cobs as compared to two at juicy crab and also you had one more boiled egg then juicy crab and when ordering low country boil it came with three primary ingredients rather than two and those three were sausage crab legs and shrimp and that was the basic order of course new potatoes came with both orders from both places wait staff was great engaging and not familiar with the bar drink prices they do have a happy hour so do the other places and on Fridays the day that I went I went in early about 20 minutes to 4:00 and things started picking up quickly after that it being Friday predominantly it Payday for most folks it got packed in a short time this place hasn't been there long but the crowds definitely come so that tells you irregardless of my arrival that the food is definitely good or they wouldn't be coming back or the place wouldn't be packing them in prices are competitive with the other places there's also a place in North Augusta which I have not visited yet but will soon do so these places are predominantly laid back with an older school music flair I also like the fact when they brought the bucket with a plastic bibs gloves eating utensil packets they came with a handy wet wipe in the utensil package that did not happen at the other place aforementioned casual dining not...
