Gloria Jean's Coffees — Restaurant in Aurora

Unless I'm at the location in Oak Lawn, never again. The girl at the register was quiet, repeated an inaccurate order which we clarified twice, and she appeared to be 14 or so. With 3 or more bustling around behind the counter who appear to be maybe 16. I was waiting with my baby for 2 drinks and a woman two places behind us got her order before me. They call out the drinks ordered which is confusing since who knows if the dozens of people waiting got the same drink or even heard. Why not call out names? A young man with short curly hair called out what I ordered as a hot latte, snapped back when I repeated it and he nodded, andaI had to say it should be a chiller. In a tone ruder than the middle school kids I teach he says "Do you want it as a chiller?" I said yes that is what I ordered. Another girl had my drink, and I asked about the latte my husband ordered. He insinuated that was the one he dumped. Had a mini tantrum breathing out heavily and stomped to make another, not clarifying...mind you. Thankfully my baby was very calm waiting so long. He comes back and says what it is quietly, I thanked him and said "Decaf right?" Another tantrum as he huffed and stomped to make it again while speaking in Spanish to his buddies taking up all 4 bar seats, one of whom was drinking a McDonald's soda. I'm positive he complained about me to another young girl behind the counter since he didn't hide facial expressions well. Finally I got out of there, and told my husband I hope there's no spit in his. He didn't even get the flavor he ordered! Barely tasted like coffee. Perfect for you if you don't actually like coffee. This place has been awful since it changed....

I'm always in here, Gloria Jean's is a fantastic coffee shop. I love the cream cheese bagels, but the Nutella cream cheese croissants are so good too. I also really like the chicken and cheese grillers, the sauce on them is really tasty and has good spices. I get a chiller (basically a Frappuccino) almost every day, and of course right now pumpkin spice is my vice, but the pistachio and wild berry chillers are also favorites. The white chocolate raspberry chiller is pretty good too, almost a little too rich for me! Breanna is my favorite barista, she's so kind and so funny and always knows my order. She gets stuff out quickly and makes me feel really at home when I'm at GJ. If you want coffee at Fox Valley Mall, you have to go to...

The worst coffee shop in existence. On a typical day for this location, the service would be at a snail pace. There's usually 2 or 3 people in line with fifty staff members behind the counter! I one time had asked for a cup of water with my coffee purchase and they said that they don't have water to give, only bottled water for to buy. The condiment table is always out of cream and is messy with previous use from customers. You'd think one of the 50 employees would go out to the floor and restock and clean the area. You're better off going down to the food court and get...
