I have visited this place twice now. I tried to give it another chance but had another equally horrible experience. The staff always seem to be unhappy, have attitude and have never been welcoming. Upon arriving, I found a phone in the ladies’ room and when I turned it over to someone who clearly works there (they were pushing a cart of dishes or something) I said excuse me, I found this phone in the ladies room, I figured I better turn it over to someone who works here. I received a heavy sigh, rolling of the eyes and then he said "I guess I'll figure it out" and literally threw the phone on the cart with the dishes. No hello, no thank you for turning that in. Ok, I blew that off as maybe he's tired, he's at work, I get it. Now, if you are a band and have to play here, be prepared to figure everything out on your own. No one greets you or even wants to answer questions to help. A member of the headlining act was walking around asking supporting bands where the hospitality was. There was no hospitality. The locations (indoor/outdoor) and times of the event changed so many times and were reposted so many times, no one was sure what the start time was - now I'm not sure if this fell on The Piazza or other parties, bad or no promo. The sound guy was no better and he should really check himself. There are many professional people who are educated on sound and could possibly be a sound guy as well, know what you're talking about before opening your mouth full of attitude. He became angry with the support bands when they were going to do a sound check and drums had to be broken down...so we all tried to make it easier for him - we let him set up 3 - three...drum sets on stage so life could be easier for him and again, no thanks no nothing. Just an attitude. We were not in control of where the gear got placed and when something had to be moved, the sound guy snapped and said I'm not moving that, that's 150 pounds. I'm sorry cranky sound guy, we can't have 2 wedge amps in front of our guitar player's amp when we didn't place the gear there in the first place. We also needed four microphones set up and he was annoyed. We needed one turned up and he was annoyed and the microphone was not heard at all by the audience. We checked, we know. The sound guy was nowhere to be found during any local band's performances. It was a very disappointing experience. To put a giant nail in the giant coffin of what was an already horrible night, we were told the Piazza didn't want to pay the guarantees to any of the supporting acts. We only received our money because of an outstanding booking agent who went above and beyond. It's a shame because it appears that it could be a really neat venue to hang out and see some good shows. These bands show up and play their hearts out and for whoever is there, even if it's just your fellow support and friends!! In the end, what a shame to witness awful treatment of the visiting bands, our guests and...
Read moreHighly upset! Went to this place yesterday and have been before and its always the same; slow service and the food is so-so...the tacos i would give a 5 out of 10 the burgers i give about a 9 out of 10. Anyway, we went to watch the Spence vs. Porter fight and we paid the $5 per person cover fee, we met up with some of our friends....about 2 hours into the night they tell us we have to leave because we were making our own drinks which we werent and couldnt prove but because my husband was really upset about it we ended up just leaving anyway. I asked if we can get our cover back and they said no. Mind you when we got there it took a few mins for the waitress to ask if we wanted anything to drink...then after that i didnt see her again until like 30 mins later only because i had to tell a bus person that we were ready to order and went to go get her. I am sorry but i liked this place better as The Foundry before these new owners came about. I just starting settle that maybe we can just make this our normal bar because its not too bad but what happened yesterday really made me say "forget them!" We paid to watch the fight which we werent able to finish and brought them some business by bringing friends well, now i am not going to recommend this place to anyone anymore....matter of fact i going to tell ppl NOT to come here....it may not make their business go down so much but at least i can stop my $ from going into their pockets. They have little cool stuff there but before these new owners came along that place was almost always packed because it was such a cool place with great service and cool owners.....not anymore. I can see this place going down within the next 5 years just like i saw Fox and Hound Bar down the street go down. I am being very descriptive for those of you who are thinking about coming here. We will find a more friendly and fair bar to go to for nights like this.
** I do NOT want or need a reply from staff for a coupon or discount or anything, because unless they get a new set of owners we are NEVER...
Read moreSunday breakfast with the Beatles, sounded like a good idea, but the Salerno's were ill prepared for such an event. Checking in took over 45 minutes. Service was slow and infrequent. We would go 20 minutes at a time before we see our server. Took our drinks order fairly quickly but ordering breakfast took another 40 minutes. They can't claim being under staffed since tickets were purchased in advance. After mother 45 minutes went by before we started seeking our server to ask about the food where abouts. Server blamed the kitchen and 15 minutes later the food showed up cold, not luck warm, rather room temperature cold. Tried couple of bites before we threw in the towel. It was just bad, cold eggs do not go down easy. I will skip the commentary about the poor quality of the endless mimosas as I don't expect top-shelf champaign in these settings, but they were warm. Again, bad warm mimosas don't go down easy. Manager stop by, did offer to redo our food or a credit. But not an apology. At this point we've been here for 3 hours and didn't want to sit for another round of where is our food. Half the staff weren't wearing masks so weren't half the guests. Can't exactly enforce the masking rule when your own staff is not following it On the upside, the band was decent even though their name wasn't prominently featured any were we can find, and we looked It's hard enough for businesses to get people to visit their establishments, but bad service and worse food will guarantee the ones that decided to try something new to never come back. The irony is their website explains the reason they offer limited menus at these events is to assure quality of service yet they felt...
