This place is going to be my new hidden gem! The owners are so nice and friendly, and their son is adorable too!! We used the kiosk to order our food. The service is great and we got our food pretty quick. We tried the creamy udon with Katsu Chicken. It was simple and delicious. It reminded me of pasta carbonara. It probably would have been even better for me if there was a raw egg yolk on top or optional bacon!! My favorite dish was the fried fish banh mi. The bread was crispy and soft, with not too much breading. The fried fish had a nice crunch, and the pickled veggies hit the spot, a dish for any fish taco fan!! What would have me coming back for more are the drinks and the desserts. The Taro Bingsu was amazing, I've never had shaved ice better than this, and I'm not really a Taro person, so im a fan!!! The Biscoff Croffle already has me dreaming for more!! The combination of chrispy yet chewy croffle with the whipped cream and dusted cookie crumble is amazing! It's not too sweet, which is key for me. The prices may seem a bit high and deter those on a college budget, but i definitely think its worth it and what the going prices for meals are these days. The Azure Latte was surprisingly good, for those that enjoy a good coconut drink. Im not a big fan of coconut either, but i enjoyed it, too!! I will definitely be coming back on the regular!!
Add the Mango Bingsu, Matcha Latte, and Thai Latte to the list of yummy items to try!!!
More yummy items to try: Strawberry Bingsu, Matcha Latte A La Mode, the ice cream is so yummy. Also, give the cream corn croffle, its pretty...
Read moreAll the amazing things I've read about this place are TRUE - Azure lives up to the hype! I'm Vietnamese and will always be on the search for some good, authentic food. The lunch specials here are insanely reasonably priced - a stacked banh mi with a side of eggy/creamy sandwich dip + fries + miso soup + a drink for $12.99?! Unheard of!
The banh mi was well balanced - every ingredient had their chance to shine in terms of flavors. Also the quality of it all - especially the thick but fluffy, crispy baguette ... is so hard to find. I was pleasantly surprised and did not realize it would come with a sandwich dip... it remind me of the breakfasts I would have at home as a kid where I would tear off a piece of baguette and slather it in runny, Maggi-soaked eggs.
Another shining star is the CROFFLE. I was doubtful that it would just be another Instagram-able dessert but it was everything I wanted and more / truly the perfect marriage between a croissant and waffle. So light and airy .. can't go wrong with the OG Lotus Biscoff flavor.
The chef/owner and all the people that worked there were so friendly and checked in on us often - great, speedy service and a pleasant ambiance. This might be my number 1 spot for banh mi now and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu ... a hidden...
Read moreStumbled upon this hidden gem (probably won't be for long) that serving up bold, creative flavors that blend Vietnamese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine in the most delicious way. From the first bite, you can tell the Chef here really know what theyâre doing. The food is consistently goodâflavorful, balanced, and never overwhelming. There hasn't been a dish that my husband and I tried which we didn't like yet. Of all the dishes that we have tasted so far our top 3 standout dishes are: Chicken Karage, Banh Mi Pho Dip, and Fish Katsu Don.
And donât sleep on the desserts! The croffle and bingsu are chefâs kissâlight, not overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. It's rare to find Asian desserts done this well outside of bigger cities, but Azure nails it. Last but not least, the drinks are quite bold and refreshing and we'll for sure order Ube Coffee and Hojicha Latte again.
In short, if you're into Asian fusion or just looking to try something unique and satisfying, Azure is a must. It's the kind of place you almost donât want to share because you want to keep it all to yourselfâbut it deserves the spotlight. We canât wait to come back and bring more family and...
