I have been coming to this Chili's for many years. Over the last few years it seems thst it has just gone down hill. It's just this lakeline location. I have been to several other locations and not had these issues. The service is not great. Everyone seems annoyed to be working and can't be bothered. Nobody writes anything down, so your order isn't correct. The drinks at the bar are over priced and never consistent. So my husband and I stopped eating in. We just got our food to go. To avoid these things. I have ordered food from here 3 different times in the last few months, everytime it has been it hasn't been correct. The last 2 of the 3 times half my order was left behind. Shame on me for not being more diligent and checking to see everything is there. I guess I didn't think it would be an issue. The 2nd time my husband picked it up and forgot to check as well. After getting the food home, and noticed I didn't have all my order I called up there and the manager took 9 minutes to pick up ththe phone. Then proceeded to say that she was "sorry and that she will have her staff work on it." And then hung up. Never tried to make it up to or make the situation right in my eyes, or try to enhance my next visit. I'm not one to try and get things for free, but i do expect things to be made up and get a sincere apology for what was wronged or was not correct. So I had company over and they had suggested and requested that they wanted chili's. So I after a while of trying to decide on a different place to eat.. we just said fine we will order chili's. So we order on the Chili's app. Same as always. I go to the restaurant. Pick up the food. Check to make sure it's all there. It is. I had a coupon, that was from Chili's for $10 off of a $30 purchase. The girl checking me out says she has to get the manager to clear it. So we wait. It takes the manager, 13 minutes to get to us. The girl checking me out tried multiple times to get Victoria the manager to come over, she never did. The last time she politely asked, Victoria snapped back and says "I will be there in a minute, clearly I'm busy". So we continue to wait. I proceed to try and explain the previous situation to both of them as I'm pulling out the boxes in the bag to double check them again, just to make sure the details were correct . Only to have the manager come over and generally ask "what am I doing?! where is this coupon?!" I show her the coupon on my phone. Then trys to tell me she "can't honor that because they don't have any promotional coupons going on at the moment". And I said "well I got this from you.. and it doesn't expire until 3/9/18". She then rolls her eyes and says "well I will try and see if it works, but I'm not sure it will". I simply say "thank you", it goes through and I leave. I will never come back. I will discourage people from eating at this Chili's as well from now on. This is unnessary and not needed. I open my food at home to eat it, and my food is cold and...
Read moreI came to this Chillis on my way back to Dallas coming from San Antonio. My family and I were going to dine in at Oasis restaurant and were starving but the waiting list was too long and we had not eaten since breakfast and so we saw this chillis on the way back to Dallas and I decided to order online to go so once we arrived we were able to dine in with our food to go and open a tab to oder more food. so at arrival time we were seated and I told the host about it and then the waiter came and I told him too he was polite and said ok “you will have to go get your food at the corner and I can leave this table for you” and I was a little in shock because I was obviously expecting the waiter to at least attend us and bring the to go food (packed) to our table like regular people that were coming to dine in, so I stood up and went to the corner and I told the corner guy about it and I grabbed my food and I sat down. As we were eating the waiter came and my husband told the waiter the he was going to look at the menu to order more food and like 3 mins later an older women with dirty blond hair (who never identified herself and may be the manager) said “was going on here with the food” and that really make me agitated and I told her “Do not worry we will order more food!” and she kept talking and I showed her my paid ticket for the food that we were eating and luckily my husband was stayed calm, and was able to talk to her because I was ready to make a show and just take my food and eat it at the car. Then, finally she left after saying blah blah and making me feel disrespected and discriminated (I am Hispanic) and like if I was stealing something. Then, after 5 minutes the waiter came back and my husband order two more dishes and a dessert, we finished our food and PAID and left! Something I learned is that I am never coming back to this restaurant! Thankfully there is Chillis at Dallas! Bye Bye Felicia! Please get better customer service skills for your...
Read moreI consider Chili's to be a mid-tier restaurant. As far as mid-tier goes, I think they're one of the best.
As a local guide, in order to get the full experience, my wife and I went twice and based this review on the average of both visits.
First and foremost, we did not wait and our seats were well over six feet from any other customers. The way the booths are setup give plenty of isolation for a dining experience that is free from others' loudness.
As far as the prices go, it is best to go with one of their specials. Right now they have the 3-for-$10 and the 2-for-$25. The prices for these items are about the price of getting everyone their own entrees, but it also comes with appetizers and dessert.
Our service was almost perfect. It was adequate enough to have no complaints but not above-and-beyond enough to enthuse about. My drink never ran out though, and that's what's important. One of their COVID accommodations is they don't have bottles of ketchup at the tables anymore. I asked for ketchup and got about 4 packets, which wasn't enough for my son's and my fries, so I had to ask for more. I get it, but it's obnoxious. (Staff: consider serving ketchup in small plastic cups, like you do with ranch?)
Chili's pasta is much better than I expected. It's even better than Olive Garden's. Their awesome blossom is also amazing, but they should consider ways to make the seasoning more evenly distributed. Ours came with most of the seasoning on one single piece.
Our servers were on one occasion good, and on the other, fantastic. The staff seem to have a good time working together, which is always nice to see.
All-in-all, if you know what you're looking for, Chili's can be a great, inexpensive family dining experience. They also have plenty of TVs with interesting things showing, both at the bar and at normal dining booths. While I can't speak to this personally, many other reviewers have had problems with their to-go service, so it may be something...
