Drinks Lounge — Restaurant in Austin

I had a problem with this bar almost a year ago, I was buying drinks for 3 friends and 3 sets of girls with 2-3 girls in each group so i racked up a $200 tab in almost an hour. When i went to the bar i asked for another round, the bartender said in a mean, unappreciative disrespectful voice "you're done, you're done"! I defended myself by stating i was not drunk and that i owned a bar and this is not how i would have approached this situation. I did not write a review then, almost a year later i woke up with a task, to hire bartenders for my new restaurant in NW Austin, i am considering what avenues i will use to recruit, i go to indeed, poached, intheweeds and then the oldy but maybe Craigslist, as i am on Craigslist the first add i see is Drinks hiring bartenders. It brings back memories, i decide to reply with an email because the way i was treated that day is still to this very day bothersome, here is part of his response below. I think he was trying to insult me.

"Glad to see you’re up early looking for a bartender job on Craigslist to help supplement your Uber driver income. You made sure to repeatedly tell everyone that you own a bar. We hope business picks up and wish you the best of luck."

It is true, i drove Uber this past year as i sold my bar in CC as i looked for a new spot to open up where the economy is much better, my home town, Austin TX, my hard work has paid off as i will be opening a new unique venue November 15th. I usually don't leave bad reviews at all. The service was not that good. Waitress forgot about us. Another waitress noticed all of our empty cups and took them.. Drinks did not taste good, had to send one back due to a really bitter taste. Food was good but I never knew anywhere that would take 20 to 30 minutes on nachos. I was pretty excited to try it, one and done. But hey whatever floats your boat!

I clearly checked out with my two other friends and had someone chase me down to give me the free cup that changes colors. Now if you like to lie you have to be better then that now idiots. Staff, or it was probably even management, who made it seem like I wasn't wanted at this establishment. I'm not sure what I did, or even if I did anything to rub anyone the wrong way. All I was there for was to pick up the food items I ordered. Maybe this spot is not for everyone 🤷🏽‍♂️ Personally, this place seems to be phony, and their trying too hard to create a certain type of atmosphere that they themselves don't even truly come from. I'm pretty sure back in the days, it was a true to its core establishment for all kinds of music lovers and chill people... but not today. You're not missing anything special from this place. Unless you're one of they regulars 😉 In all honesty, there are so many, many, many other cool, chill, and fun atmosphere places in Austin to experience that Austin vibe that one can frequent besides...
