I recently took a road trip from New York City and made a two-day stop in Austin, Texas. While there, I asked some locals for food recommendations and one name kept coming up: Johnny Tacos—a small trailer parked on the side of a bar.
I decided to give it a shot and ordered the Burrito Azteca along with a few tacos late at night. The food was incredible! I couldn’t even finish the burrito in one sitting, so I took it home and had the rest for breakfast the next morning—it was just as good. I loved it so much that I went back again for dinner later that same day, and of course, enjoyed a few beers alongside it.
If I could give Johnny Tacos six stars, I absolutely would. This stop alone made my trip to Austin memorable. Highly recommend it for anyone...

Cons: It’s not kid/ teen/ family friendly place. It’s placed outside a night club called high noon . So it’s loud and lots of drunk folks. For those who drink it’s great you can order a couple beers to go with your food otherwise they won’t sell you any water,soda or pop.

Blew me away without a doubt even compared to some four star, high end, expensive restaurants this was absolutely the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time.
