This place is great! Iâve been going here for 2 years already, and I adore their food. I started going as a student, but now I live ~15-20 minutes away and itâs definitely worth the drive. I would highly recommend it!
Food
There are great sweet crepes, but what really stands out to me is the savory crepes. You can find good sweet crepes at a few places around the city (here included!), but this is the only place Iâve found with great quality savory crepes. Everything is made when you order.
My grandmother spent half her life in France and is very vocal when she dislikes something; I took her here, and she loved it!
Quality of Ingredients
Everything here is fresh and high quality. The fruit is sweet, the mushrooms are freshly sauteed, and the prosciutto is clearly authentic. The coffee is Lavazza brand. The tea is Mariage FrĂšres (a recent upgrade!).
Attention to detail
Everything here has effort put into it. The crepes are filled the right amount, the cheeses are specifically chosen to compliment the other ingredients, and there are tons of customization options. Iâm lactose intolerant and have a negative reaction to caffeine, but an oat milk decaf chai latte isn't a problem here.
I have had a good experience every single time Iâve come here, and Iâve been here quite a few times now.
Authenticity
This place holds up very well when compared to crĂȘperies Iâve been to in Paris, Brussels, Bordeaux, etc.
They even offered savory crepes made with buckwheat flour (a âgaletteâ in French), although I canât remember for certain if this is still an option (I havenât ordered one in a while).
Genuinity
There is so much heart here. The owners pour their soul into this place, and thatâs evident from the moment you walk in. They truly care that you have a good experience, not just because it reflects positively on the business, but also because theyâre fundamentally kind, caring people. Itâs clear that getting this place off the ground (during early covid!) has taken an incredible amount of effort, and that they are willing to put in however much more it takes. I have a huge amount of respect for them.
I cannot recommend this...
Read moreI had the pleasure of meeting Madame Elle, the owner of @lesboboscrepes, yesterday and let me tell you - sheâs a gem! From the moment she walked up to welcome me, she had a gleaming smile in her eyes (because everyone is wearing masks there) and was eager to tell me about her CreÌperie. After spending some time in Europe and in France Elle fell in love with the concept of savory creÌpes along with of course the sweet kind and decided to bring that concept to Austin. Elle envisioned a sleek and chic French bistro that didnât require a huge sign, but simply the smell of the fresh creÌpes to guide you to the right place. Although Covid threw a wrench in her plans (câest la vie!), Elleâs Les Bobos CreÌpes is open for socially distant business on West Campus and for to-go orders. I started with a turkey, gruyere, veggie, and pesto creÌpe which was the perfect balance of savory and sweet (and very filling). After a coffee break of the most amazing frozen espresso that Iâm still dreaming of, the orders of sweet creÌpes being prepared enticed me for dessert. The pieÌce de reÌsistance was the decadent cinnamon apple creÌpe that could not have been any better! I canât wait to come back and try everything else on the menu! So come visit Elle and her wonderful and friendly team at Los Bobos CreÌpes and help support a local business to get them to their Grand Opening and beyond to becoming an...
Read moreWhat a delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we'd been transported to a French neighborhood creperie. The hostess greeted us warmly, setting the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable interlude.
I went with the savory spinach and mushroom crepe, while my husband opted for the classic ham, GruyĂšre, and spinach combo. His came out a bit quicker, but both were well worth the wait. Served in clever paper cones, the crepes were easy to manageâonce we got the hang of the âcrepe coneâ technique!
Philâs crepe had that authentic Croque Monsieur vibe, rich and satisfying. Mine was bursting with fresh spinach and generously filled with plump, juicy mushroomsâsavory, and so satisfying.
They serve the European style LaVazza coffee here. It was a hot day so we both ordered iced cappuccinos, which were lovely and reinforced the French bistro feel.
For dessert, we shared a lemon crepe, which turned out to be the perfect finishing touch: thin, warm, and filled with a tangy lemon curd that hit just the right balance of sweet and tart.
If you have to grab and go, opt for the specials. Otherwise, this is the place to relax and enjoy the meal at a French pace.
Overall, a lovely experience. Weâre already looking forward to our next visit when we're back in the West...
