Mixed Bag at Caffe Medici - long time customer WON'T BE BACK.

First off, the coffee is DELICIOUS...but product isn't enough....

With tons of awesome coffee shops and roasters in town, it's gotta be more than just a nice cup of joe.

The thing that turned me from a fan to "never going back" the attitude from snarling barrister girl on my recent visit (probably my 20th this year).

Here's what happened:

When she was taking my order for a soy latte, (the same thing I order every time), she was on the phone and not paying much attention. When she started making my drink I looked over and saw her using regular milk. I gently waved at her to try to get her attention so she wouldn't have to redo the drink and she waved me off telling me she'd be with me in a second. I waited and then she got off the phone. I said, "I'm sorry that's supposed to be soy..."

Her response, and this blew me away, "You need to tell me that when you order..."

STUNNED... Really lady?

Wow, so not only were you not paying attention to me when I was ordering but then when I tried to correct you, you blew me off and THEN told me I needed to do something differently because you're incompetent? Hmmm,..

THEN... it got nasty.

She takes the milk from the steel steamer and pours it back into the milk jug (TOTAL CROSS CONTAMINATION) I watched, grossed out and wanting to simply leave in disgust.

So, as much as I like the yummy coffee I won't be back to this shop, I'm happy to vote with my dollars somewhere where I'm not treated this way and where it's safe to consume...

Sorely dissapointed every time I come in here, the drinks are decent but so expensive which normally doesn’t put me off too much but the cold and unkind staff really just makes the experience of spending money at this local spot not worth it. I live down the street and have been optimistic every time I come in that it will be better but it is always shockingly terrible. My most recent visit I ordered a spring fling ($6) and it was served over ice in a paper cortado cup, the barista called out the order and I came up to the bar to retrieve my drink. I waited a couple minutes and asked if they had called the order (making sure I wasn’t mistaken) the barista looked at me like I was an idiot and how dare I speak to him while he’s working. The look was one of disgust. I have worked in the service industry for over 10 years, I’m sorry but the attitude and general lack of enthusiasm is unacceptable. I’m aware that everyone has their own lives and things going on and I’m always friendly but I would never treat my paying guests the way the staff does here. Unfortunately I won’t...

Good coffee, but the service is not good. It was the 3rd time I went there, usually there's a cashier and a barista, this time the cashier wasn't there, so I turned to the barista and asked: excuse me, I would like a latte with caramel. He was washing a mug, on hearing me, he turned his head and looked at me, without saying anything. I thought he only made coffee and wasn't responsible for ordering coffee, so I said: sorry, but there used to be another person... He didn't listen at all but showed me a frown with impatience: OK. Then he continued washing the mug, finished, and walked to the POS machine, saying slowly: usually customers wait, just be cool, OK? I said: sorry, but there used to be another person here, and she's not here, so I just asked you... He didn't reply to my explanation, instead, he said:...
