Wu Chow restaurant is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of the city. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a memorable dining experience. With its elegant and contemporary ambiance, the restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect stage for an exceptional meal.
Let's start with the star of the show—the food. Wu Chow's menu boasts a tantalizing array of authentic Chinese dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The flavors are vibrant, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation is nothing short of artistry. Whether you're a fan of classic favorites like General Tso's Chicken or eager to explore more adventurous flavors, Wu Chow's menu caters to all palates.
During my visit, I opted for the Kung Pao Shrimp, a dish that perfectly balanced heat, sweetness, and savory flavors. The shrimp were cooked to perfection, succulent and tender, while the accompanying vegetables added a delightful crunch. The flavors melded together harmoniously, leaving me craving more with each bite.
The service at Wu Chow deserves special mention. The staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. From the moment I was seated until the end of my meal, I felt well taken care of. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and tailor the dining experience to my preferences, ensuring that every moment was enjoyable.
The attention to detail extends beyond the food and service. The restaurant's decor is modern and chic, with a touch of Chinese elegance. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. Whether you're dining with a group of friends, having a romantic evening, or celebrating a special occasion, Wu Chow provides an ideal setting for any event.
Furthermore, the prices at Wu Chow are reasonable given the quality of the food and service. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave satisfied and content. It's evident that the restaurant strives to provide excellent value for money without compromising on the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Wu Chow restaurant has left an indelible impression on me. From the delectable cuisine to the impeccable service and inviting ambiance, this establishment has truly raised the bar for Chinese dining. If you're in search of an extraordinary culinary experience, I highly recommend paying a visit to Wu Chow. It's a dining adventure you won't...
Read moreI was so shocked to have such bad service at a renowned restaurant. Our waitress was curt from the start. I thought maybe we were just imagining this rudeness but the table next to us confirmed that she had been rude to them the whole time as well. They told us "good luck" after they settled their table and walked out. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on our side. She asked if we had any dietary restrictions and we stated we wanted our food prepared vegan (for the friend I was with). We ordered dishes that had the green image to signify it could be altered for our dietary needs. Not everything we ordered could be made vegan and that was ok, but the fact that she had to ask the chef twice was apparently a huge inconvenience. We ordered the Sichuan Tofu which was tossed with Sichuan peppercorns. I thought nothing of it until I bit into one (by accident) and one side of my mouth went numb. I couldn't taste anything on that side of my tongue and the numbing/tingling/burning feeling was so unpleasant I stopped eating. Same thing happened to my friend a few minutes later. When I asked what the peppercorns were and why I was having that reaction, our waitress stated it very matter-of-fact and asked us if there was a problem. Had I known Sichuan peppercorns caused that kind of reaction I would've thought twice before ordering the dish or not being careful to avoid them. Some kind of warning on the menu or from our waitress would've been great. Our waitress also forgot my hot and sour soup and still added it to our bill. It was later removed after I brought it up and declined to take it to-go which created another curt interaction.

Would've been a 1-star review but the food did have good flavor until my mouth went numb. Also, the folks delivering our food and the hostess were very kind and helpful. I just can't in good faith recommend a place where I had a bad experience with our waitress...

Make sure to set a reservation before you try this place. They are popular and it's nearly impossible to get a table without a reservation. We set a reservation to try the highly-rated Wu Chow and when we arrived our table was ready for us which was amazing!
Overall, I'm rating it 3 stars because the food was just ok. I would go here for the dumplings and that's about it. The entrees were nothing special. They were good, but not anything amazing. The drinks were also subpar.
Here's what we ordered for 4 adults and 1 toddler.
Green beans: these were tasty and my toddler enjoyed them. The plate seemed to be hot but the green beans were just warm.
Egg rolls: egg rolls were good and I liked the dipping sauce it came with. They were thin compared to most egg rolls I've had.
Chicken and beef dumplings: both were good choices and you could tell the wrappers are made from scratch. They taste pretty authentic compared to other dumplings around town. My toddler loved them and so did I! Also keep in mind the dumplings will take about 20 min to arrive and there's a disclaimer on the menu. We went on a Wednesday evening and they seemed to take longer than 20 min.
Soup dumplings: ordered these but they never got to the table. Not sure what happened here but the waitress apologized and we told her not to worry about it.
Pork belly twice cooked: stay away from this plate. It's true what others say in the other reviews. It's thinly sliced and basically in bacon form but chewy
Fried rice with vegetables: this was good, nothing special
Sichuan Spicy Wontons: these were good too but nothing special.
Crispy Sesame Beef: out of all the entrees this one was the better tasting one
Beef Chow Fun: good flavor
Drinks: old dirty fashion (has chili oil but wasn't spicy), nien nunb had tons of sonic ice but was...
