Blend food - rude employees - 18% service charge. My wife and I are BIG FOODIES and love the French cuisine. We had some friends coming from Atlanta to visit us so after reading all the great reviews we just HAD to try this restaurant. Walking into the restaurant experience: Had to sit outside because of Covid-19, you would think the booth will be clean but that wasn't the case, some booths were broken and all were dirty. Ordering food experience: The lady was very edgy and we felt like she is doing you a favore when she answers our questions. Time for food to arrive: approximately 40-45 minutes (There were only 3 more tables besides of us) Food: I give this restaurant 2 starts just because of the presentation of the food, it looked good But it taste like you are EATING WATER there are NO SPICES in any of the dishes. I called up the server and this was our conversation: Me - "my Crepe is blend and soggy" Server - "we don't put spices because some of our customers dont too much flavor " Me - "ok but the food tastes like water" Server - "would you like salt and pepper?" Me - "no " Server - "would you like a different dish?" Me - " will it have spices Server - "we will add salt and pepper Me - "no thank you" I'm telling only my story, we were 4 grown people that DID NOT EAT ANY OF THE FOOD THAT SERVED TO US - I added pictures of how we left the food after the meal. The server / owner didn't even care if we ate anything And NONE OF THE ITEMS Was taken off the bill - very lame attitude for my opinion. And the Cherry of this story is that we were added 18% service charge I belive they add it because no one will ever tip their service. I added a picture if our check as well. There are many French restaurants I LOVE HERE like 'Voo Le Voo' belive me go there and save yourself this experience

I was invited by my friend, who is a regular at this quaint, small French restaurant located in a strip mall with other mom-and-pop spots in North Miami Beach. They welcomed us with fresh French baguette slices and butter, which set a delightful tone for the evening. There is only one server, and they do not check on you or refill your water unless you ask. I decided to try the escargot and French onion soup, dishes I wouldn’t typically make at home. While waiting, I enjoyed a glass of wine—just needed some olives and cheese to complete the experience! The place is clean and cozy, seating about 25 people. It wasn't that busy, there were a few table turnovers during the two hours we were there. The portions that other guests ordered looked huge. Their display case was filled with baked goods that were very tempting. The French onion soup was flavorful, though a bit too salty and topped with more cheese than I preferred, making it hard to get to the broth. The escargot, however, was a highlight—coated in fresh garlic, butter, and oil, it wasn’t fishy or chewy. It was light and perfect for dipping the fresh bread. My friend had the seafood pasta, which was a huge portion. Unfortunately, I didn't like the mussels in the dish. The seafood tasted too fishy for my preference. We finished the meal by sharing a thick and sweet chocolate torte, which was a lovely ending. While I enjoyed the experience, my ankles swelled up at the end, so next time I’d opt for lighter fare. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu!

Horrible service and experience! Old ... dirty ... unpleasant or: How a decoration can spoil enjoy food and drinks in this local? Paper tablecloths on the tables, dirty floors, sugar containers like spaceship, canvas on wall (no comment), furniture from the street-70's. If you need to use the bathroom, be careful not to fall down in that slippery and greasy corridor, but the kitchen is on your right side in your way so look faster inside and see where they prepare your food and be ready for the Kitchen of Terror This place doesn’t looks like a Save Working Place actually. Also if you speak French they will make you feel like at home but, if you can not, forget it! Ghetto treatment Authentic French food or canned? I say second choice, impossible cook authentic escargots or Bœuf Bourguignon so faster every time ... everyday. Good wine list but overpriced. You can found same brands bottles in Downtown Miami (Brickell) HALF PRICE! Better choices: Le Rendez Vous (Delray Beach) or Atelier Monnier (Brickell) then you can enjoy the European cosmopolitan essence with a very good taste in an amazing place.

First time visiting, last time visiting. From the arrival point to the end. I see all these good reviews, and ask myself, "what did I miss here?!" The service was terrible. The gentleman who sat me did not speak a word of English, I get it, we're in Miami, but still, you should be able to speak SOME English, especially working in a restaurant. As he proceeded to escort me over to my table, a couple of gentlemen at another table shouted out at him, and he walked over to their table, began socializing with them, and left me stranded just sitting there. Lol! Unbelievable. When he finally brought me to my table, it was dirty. Covered with dishes, napkins, etc. So, after waiting for a table to become available, it still was not "ready.." It isn't like the man who sat me had a sense of urgency to clean the table either. So, onto the service, it was noon, and my friend and I wanted to order a dish with crepes, the server took our order walked away for a little, and mind you, we were still waiting on our drinks. He comes back and says, they are out of crepes?!.. I am like, "excuse me?" This is a French restaurant and you are out of crepes, in the middle of brunch? To be honest, I was dumbfounded.. I asked why the cooks couldn't whip up a batch real quick, aka On The Fly!?! I work in the industry as a Chef, crepe batter is simple and takes a mere amount of minutes to produce, they weren't exactly busy from how slow they were moving with service.. Anyway, the server replied, "it will take too long.." Lol! As if they weren't moving so slow already! The icing on the cake was the 18% service charge they tack on your bill at the end. I am not sure if this is something exclusive to Aventura, whatever the case may be, it would've been nice to show the service fee somewhere on the menu.. They do list a gratuity charge for large parties, but not for two people! I am not even sure how this place stays open. Unfortunately, working in hospitality for over 20 years has been a blessing and a curse at the same time. Save your money. ...

My experience here was beyond horrific. This is not an exaggeration. I arrived at this restaurant at about 1030 maybe a bit earlier I sat down, and I waited for a waiter. I stepped away for a moment I came back. I use the bathroom and I continue to wait for a waiter. Other people came in and were served some point I try to get someones attention and I did And I placed my order I then waited. Other people came in, and the waiter got served again I found another person place my order to place my order again and waited. I then waited. Some more other people got served, placed my order again and waited. Finally a young lady came over who was a decent person and said to me, sir I apologize your order was never placed And will place it now. It took them 54 minutes to acknowledge that I was there, and to attempt to serve me at this point I have not even gotten water. after that, I told the lady I will not be placing an order and I switch to the manager no one came out so again I waited and I went inside and ask for a manager again no one ever came out so I left this has got to be the worst treatment I’ve ever got this is 2023 will take this sort of ignorance back push behavior would’ve gone away decades ago but here today in South Florida and Aventura is sort of behavior still exist outside now I’m black, and the only black person that was in that restaurant at the time completely ignored never served! I will see the young lady that came up last offered to serve me and offered me food, but this is after 54 minutes and I do not feel comfortable eating from that company anymore, considering what they have done to me already. That’s my...
