I had bad feeling from the start. The middle age blonde hostess was not too friendly when I asked if we can seat. After sitting at the bar/counter like table no one approached me or my friend for about 2 to 3 minutes, then a young blonde waitress with an accent I think she was Argentinian took our order 2 coffees and 2 deserts, the coffees took almost 5 minutes to arrived, meanwhile a bolded man on a suit whom appeared to be the manager never even approached to check on us why we didn't have anything on the table he look arrogant an no friendly at all. At the end we asked for the check and instead of getting a bill receipt the waitress just told us the amount, with the POS on her hand so I asked her to bring the check and we noticed the tip was included and she never told us, I guess she was expecting us to insert the card so we can double tip her The deserts were good same as the coffee but when you are going to spend almost $50 on 2 deserts and coffee, excellent...
Read moreI love Bachour, in fact I got to their cafe location in Coral Gables minimum once every other month to have breakfast or brunch. I think their food is pretty consistent, good quality and reasonable price. However, when it comes to their pastries, I have no luck.
I think their pastries are 5 stars visually speaking but at best 3 stars in flavor or execution. They taste just sweet and lack flavors. I understand taste is subjective and changes from person to person, but this is my experience.
During my visit to their pop-up Masse location at Aventura mall, I had their macaroon and they were not the best, just sweet, lacking flavors or texture. A good macaroon has a softer texture, this was grainier. And the feeling barely had flavor.
I haven’t had their croissants yet, next time I will try them, maybe I’m luckier...
Read moreMy friend and I have been to Masse by Bachour at Aventura Mall a few times now, and it’s always a great experience. We’ve tried a bunch of different desserts, and honestly, every one of them has been amazing. Not only beautiful, but also really tasty and not overly sweet (which is very important for me).
After traveling around the U.S., I realized how rare it is to find desserts this good. Masse by Bachour definitely deserves to be known as a go-to spot for desserts across the country.
One time, we got to chat with the manager, Pak, who was super friendly. After a nice conversation, he surprised us with a few of his favorite desserts on the house and even gave us tips on how to heat them up the right way at home. That kind of personal touch made the whole experience even better....
