Not sure if this location's manager is always like this or if people were that nasty to him on 4/20/24 but this will likely have been my last time at this location for a few reasons.
Order through the app and selected drive thru pick up, forgot to tell them I didn't want ice in my drinks (family outing) and decided not to have them fix that because it was my fault and I didn't want to inconvenience the window worker. Get our food, pull over to dole it out to respective parties only to find they had messed up the sandwiches.
Go inside to have issue corrected. Upon entering there is a notice on the door that the children's play area is permanently closed (I have a toddler, so this is a reason to not come here again, they'll see the play area, want to play in it and get upset they can't). At the counter there was a customer being helped and I patiently waited my turn.
My attention is brought to an older gentleman cleaning a fryer who asks why I'm in. I present him with the problems of the first sandwich and while explaining to him what was wrong he cuts me off and asks if all 3 sandwiches are incorrect. Me: Yes. Him: Do (I) have receipt? Me: Yes. Him: I'm going to make them exactly how they are on the receipt, he snapped.
I would have hoped that was the case the first time around and I wouldn't have had to get the sandwiches corrected, and yet, there I stood, biting my tongue at the snippiness I had just been dealt.
Things happen in the fast food industry, food gets made incorrectly from time to time, I get it. If it was blatantly obvious that they were made incorrectly then I may get more upset at the situation. To take it out on the worker when they've probably made 500 other sandwiches during their shift, all custom, makes nobody feel better.
If dude was upset that 3 sandwiches went out his window incorrectly, then he needs to talk to his employees about not putting things on sandwiches that weren't supposed to be on them in the first place or ordered to be put on.
Either way, IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE THE FOOD MADE AS PRINTED ON THE RECEIPT THE FIRST TIME DON'T GIVE ME ATTITUDE WHEN I CALL YOU OUT ON IT.
Hope you got to smoke a joint at the end...
Read moreMy wife and I have dined at this Burger King about every 6 weeks over the past few years after exercising at a nearby health fitness center. (I know, not the best food for fitness-conscious people.)
Probably the biggest complaint we have with this location is their extremely slow delivery. We typically get 2 Whopper Juniors with extra pickle, 2 small fries and two cups of complimentary water. There is rarely more than one or two other people ordering when we place ours and it takes on average about five to eight minutes until our food is ready.
Our last visit was probably our worst. It started with the counter girl trying to charge 25 cents for each cup of water. When I told her that we've never been charged for water, she said they always charge for it. When I asked for the manager, the girl was corrected of her error.
While waiting for our food, I went to get catsup from the catsup dispenser. It was almost out as I pumped several times to get what appeared to be coagulated catsup that did not taste quite right. I informed the counter girl and she gave me some packets of catsup. During our approximate 20 minute stay in the dining area, no one came to clean out nor refill the catsup dispenser - despite their being a minimal amount of people coming through the restaurant.
Finally our food arrived. After the longer than usual wait (even for this particular location), I expected the food would be fresh - not something that had been sitting in a warming bin for a while. The bun on my sandwich seemed hard - not fresh. And although we paid for cheese on one sandwich, there was none. (And yes, the cheese was paid for on the receipt.)
It is clear why this location does not seem to be as busy as other Burger Kings in my area. It's too bad as I really enjoy their food... when it's prepared on-time...
Read moreWell let me start by saying that I appreciated the accommodation that this particular BK made for me. I can not have a seeded bun so I was asked if I would like a potato bun instead, at no charge mind you. The young man who is a manager was told by me that I appreciated this accommodation and was told it was no problem. Now this was the first time we have had BK in over 2 years when we had a huge issue with our order and when it was brought to management's attention the bag was ripped out of my hand and thrown in the garbage. The manager at that time went into the cash register and took out a $20.00 bill and threw it at me and yelled " keep the change". Mind you my bill was aprox $13.00. That is why I haven't been back till just recently. I was informed of a whole new crew and managers that have been there a while now. You get some good ones and you get some not so good ones. The young man said " I am glad you decided to give us a chance again"... yes...yes I am too. Been back several times and food is always hot and fresh and the team looks like they actually like their jobs and want You to be happy and feel valued. So thank you Avon Burger King. See you soon for my Whopper Jr with cheese heavy pickle and onion on...
