I don’t typically leave reviews or rate my experiences but someone asked me to leave a review of my experience at this location so here it is. I’ve been here quite a few times already and overall the food is par, sometimes sub par as far as taste and quality. However, I do not recommend the “choose 2” deal at all, when order full meals the quality is exceptional and as it should be however when I did the “chose 2” deal I had gotten half of a poorly assembled “New Yorker” on what looked and tasted like wheat bread when it should’ve been marbled rye, and a quarter of a a piece of Swiss. The Chicken Cesar salad I had gotten was a quarter of the size as the regular salad (as expected though as it’s more of a 2 for the price of one deal to begin with) but the lettuce not only had brown wilted spots but the salad itself consist of mainly the bottom hard parts and stems of the lettuce itself as if it was made up of just the scraps of leftover lettuce from the salad before. This has happened every time I have ordered the “chose 2” deal with both the sandwich and the salad. Overall, it seems unless you are ordering the full size or portioned sandwiches or salads you are going to most likely get the scraps of what was left over and made before. Also if you are a health nut, I’d look at the macro nutrition values online before ordering. The sodium levels and cholesterol levels in even just the salads are...
Read moreThis is a hard review to leave, because I really liked McAlister's before my last visit. I bought a chicken salad sandwich about a 2 months ago and as I was eating it I bit down and heard a pop and spit out the food to see what it was. I had hit something incredibly hard. It was bone I believe. My tooth hurt like crazy and I called the store to tell them ever so nicely that I just found bone in the chicken salad and to be careful with other customers. I was super understanding with the person, and did not yell or get upset. I just wanted them to know so no one else was hurt. The person who answered the phone said, "oh our chicken salad is made off site, but uhhhh, hold on a minute." She came back on the phone, and said oh let me take your name and you can have a free sandwich the next time you come in. So, I left my name. Over the next week I noticed my tooth was getting increasing soar, so I finally went into the dentist and low and behold I had a crack in my back tooth that runs all the way into the root. Fast forward a month I have now had to have 2 root canals and on Monday I have to go back again to get a cap on the tooth. Yea... but I get a free sandwich. sigh --- Just a word of warning. Don't get the chicken salad.. ."because it is made off site", and who knows if you will get a...
Read moreI'm not big on "chain" restaurants, but that being said, this place was impressive. This was only my second time here, but just like the first time, I absolutely loved what I got. I really need to remember that I have to come back more often. I think I forget about McAlister's because I hate going to chains. I love the local places because it seems they care more, and want to provide something special for their customers. But for at least THIS McAlister's, I rate it top notch in food quality, quantity and taste. Presentation and service were also equally impressive. The girl that took our order at the counter was cheery and polite. Special requests were of no challenge to this girl, and gave a great first impression. Now.. the sandwich. OMG! Loved it!! I got the king sized to share, that was still more than we really needed, but I managed to make it all disappear! Even the cookie was delicious. So much so, that I almost forgot to get a picture before it was gone. So, if you are in the mood for a great sandwich, definitely stop here and try it out. If you've been here before, don't forget to go...
