I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Mitchell's Ice Cream in Avon. We have been loyal customers, frequently visiting with my four kids, and have never had an issue until now. However, our experience this time was absolutely unacceptable.

Haley and Taylor, the manager, provided extremely poor service. We ordered one scoop of ice cream, but they tried to charge us for two. When we pointed out the mistake, they threw away the original scoop and gave us another, scoop, but still charged us for one. Another member of our party faced a similar issue, and they were given a hard time, with the staff threatening to throw away the ice cream instead of resolving the issue professionally.

The situation escalated when the manager, Taylor, rudely took the ice cream out of my 11-year-old son's hand, insisting that they could not give it to us. The lack of professionalism and respect shown by both Haley and Taylor was shocking and completely unacceptable.

Given this experience, we will likely not return to this location. It’s unfortunate that two staff members with such bad attitudes can tarnish the reputation of a store we once enjoyed.

mitchell's ice cream is delicious, even when it's below freezing outside. how busy the place is, every day, is a testament to that fact. the only issue I have with this place is their lack of flavors (a lot of the ice cream flavors seem like spins off another flavor, lacking variety....) their seasonal flavors are awesome* (for spring and summer) however, fall and winter

😍We went here with the whole st. Thomas team to celebrate together after the last CYO girls volleyball game at st. Bernadettes -The coaches hosted the whole team & parents as a special treat- which was very gracious of them.🎉The Ice cream was just wonderful- it's rich & heavy like ice cream in Italy or Greece- I had a turtle sundae which was perfection- superb ice cream- crispy toasted pecans topped with a generous helping of luscious hot gooey fudge- whipped cream & cherry- my grandaughter Gabby had their classic strawberry shake topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings which she said was yummy for her tummy😃 however- we weren't allowed to order or eat inside- masked perky young people came out to the cars to take our orders- then dropped them bagged into our laps in a jiffy- THEN asked us to please exit THEIR parking lot & drive across the road to the bank parking lot to eat.
