[Edited review, 4 weeks after our first visit. Drop to 2 stars] We decided to try Raising Cane's again after a decent first visit a month ago. We probably won't be back again for awhile.
Atmosphere: it was even louder than our first visit. The decibel tool on our phones were counting a consistent range of 75-90db. That's incredibly too loud in the dining area & it's all because of the music & the microphone for orders. It's so loud you can't even hear the people working the cash registers when you're trying to order. The poor baby at the table next to us was startling every time they called out that an order was ready on the speaker. Our child, who loves chaos, complained about the noise & wanted to get our food to go.
This place got DIRTY in a month. The drink station was a mess. There were spills under several tables that were partially dried like they had been there for hours. The floor is about 10 shades darker than it was on a previous visit... Like it hasn't been properly cleaned in a month.
Off -duty employees were lounging in the largest booth & a manager was having a meeting in another booth ...all during the dinner rush when there's not enough seating for customers.
Food: while fresh, the fries were over cooked to the point they were hard, not crispy. The chicken hadn't been seasoned at all (it was on a previous visit). My 4 chicken tenders were all half-tenders that had been broken...so technically I got 2 tenders (my husband's & daughter's were both twice the size of what I received).
We'll stick with other established chicken finger locations in the area for the next time the craving hits, relative to value & experience. Tonight was literally miserable.
[Original Review- 5 stars] This was our first Raising Cane's experience, & we will be back. We decided to try it on a whim for a weekday lunch after a Costco run when we noticed they weren't too busy. We weren't disappointed. The food was fresh & met expectations. The Cane Sauce is delicious. Service was incredibly friendly & attentive from start to finish. The dining room was incredibly clean.
My only negative is the volume of the music was SUPER loud during a weekday lunch. It was hard to have a discussion. If someone in your group has sensory issues, this combined with the disco balls in the ceiling might make it impossible to dine here.
Overall, we can't wait...
Read moreWaited a few weeks for crowds to settle. I'm a Chic-Fil-A fan so was anxious to see how the new competition stacked up. I was not impressed and here is why: Son and I went at an off time, 3pm. Horrible customer service. Cashier was totally disconnected with me...looking off in distance and at others in line. Forced me to repeat everything I said. She would look back at me after I ordered something and say, "Huh?". Employees working did not appear neat and clean, as Chic-fil-A employees do. We ate inside and this was disappointing. Music very loud, every empty table was dirty, drink station was a mess. 3.We both ordered the three piece and it was supposed to come with texas toast, but they did not. I walked back up and mentioned this but was met with confusion and disbelief, like i was trying to get a second piece?? Plus the employee didn't have a firm grasp of the english language. I gave up. Didn't need the extra bread....fries were filling enough. Chicken strips tasted fine, but were small. only two choices for sauce....their special sauce or honey mustard. Rug in the entryway was too big and causing door to get stuck making to hard to get in.out of restaurant. Sidewalks pretty dirty with snow/ice.
There were just so many little things that were messed up that gave a big overall picture of a not very well run establishment. I will...
Read moreWe saw the insane lines at this place when it opened so figured it must be good. After the crowds died down a bit, we went and tried it. I frankly don't understand what all the hubbub was about because this place is a total rip off. I guess people just like wasting money, because I could have taken $25 from my wallet and lit it on fire and would have been more satisfied. The employees are great and work fast but other than that, it has nothing going for it. The food is way overpriced (we spent $25 for two meals and one drink) and they only have 4 menu items, all of which are... chicken tenders... Yes, it's in the name but I thought "surely they have at least some other menu item here?" No, they do not... I also thought, "Surely Im not about to pay $25 for 8 chicken fingers and some fries that taste like packing peanuts?" But yes, I did. Even my reflection in the rearview mirror shook his head in disgust at me... It'd be more appropriate to have this place attached to a gas station and just sell some quick things to eat if you're on the road. But for a family to go out and eat a dinner here? Save your money and go somewhere more worthwhile. $25 would have gotten us a huge spread at City BBQ or some other...
