I've never once had a coffee i didn't love from starbucks.I have coffee everywhere i go and every1 will always give me a bad cup more than once at some point.so hard to get a great cup of coffee u really enjoy that im always wondering if its gnna be bad.EXCEPT STARBUCKS! its so so satisfying im totally immersed into the coffee experience til its gone.vacation in a cup if u will.coffee is my deal so im a huge coffee critic . 1 visit to the plainfield In location in Target I ordered a seasonal Cup off the menu that my mom loved when we visited starbucks in krogers off southport road in Indiana and she suggested i try it! so this day i was gnna order it.I was served what i thot i ordered. Reality.barista was out of the toppings and ingredients to make it. but she did NOT tell me . just rang me up charged my card served me the coffee she made without telling any different lol.i went back up and showed her my naked speciality coffee and unsure why it didnt have the flavor i expected and she was like"oh were out of the toppings and so its just cookie crumbs and candy anyways" so she dint put anythng on it.. my order should have been a creamy flavored coffee with fluffy whip and gorgeous toppings on it. i don't even know whats in my cup at this point lol Im like well ur advertising it that why im ordering it can we put smethng on top it? i was like the coffee name is the toppings and how can u not tell me ur out of its recipe and just give whatevr.lol So whatever makeshift specialty I had that day it def wasnt the holiday one starbucks advertised on the menu that day I've yet to hve the one my mom suggested..maybe that moment could made better by telling me whats not available even tho its written in chalk b4 just charging me for it and serving me whatevr..as if it didnt matter what i was served that the whole ordering off the menu was just thing we do in the Midwest....like im gonna order one thing off the menu and ur gnna charge me and we go thru the motions and whatever u give me will be a surprise lol..so that visit alone is why im giving 4 stars not 5. This visit reminded of a childhood Christmas when ur so excited to open ur present and chritmas finaly gets here and you finally open the shiny wrapper and you got sweater.I visited the avon indiana starbucks for the pumpkin spice latte..but i was 1 week early.it wasnt on the menu yet..the barista said she could make me somethng that taste just as good and she told me the flavors..i said lets do it... Let me tell u that coffee she made me was absolutely unforgettable.i loved it and have been ordering it many times over ever sense! Bttr than the pumpkin! Right now its my new favorite...this barista Avon looked like she was in her 30s and the plainfield target girl seemed to be in charge there was only one other girl at the moment she looked maybe 22..and as a critic this stands out vividly ...no matter where i go when service obviously different we paying customers are making connections and drawing conclusions. sometimes theres a big dif in knowlede and work ethics when it comes to age..i thnk alot of youth smetimes dnt grasp consequences of their actions or consider a long term thot process given to the task..for some of them its just get thru the moment and move on to next number...no paying customer ho works hard and pays for expensive coffee wants to feel like a number.as mature adults grasp the value of how long term that moment actually is.that moment is more than a moment long. this was almost 3 months ago and still I thnk about it and it changes my order process 4evr but that child who cut corners that day nvr thnks about it shes prob already moved on to the nxt somethng else and starbucks will be effected long after.but customers are forever and the young baristas workn there temporary need to take that...

Patience at an all time high. We ordered on the app, because that's my preference & I would rather not bother them with my order when I can do it on my phone. I wanna preface by saying I know they were probably having the worst longest day. We entered with our orders already in, but when we checked the app we realized we had put drive thru pickup instead of in store. We decided to go up to the register & let the batista know that we were in-store for pick up instead. We walked up, I smiled, batista is dead pan. I said 'I'm so sorry but we accidentally put our order in drive thru'. She shoots back that when they get the order it doesn't tell them either way and that we have 8-9 people in front of us & we just need to be patient. I was pretty taken aback at her tone considering I was super polite & since I've never worked at Starbucks, I didn't know how it worked. We thought we were being polite by letting them know but apparently not. If I have to choose between this location & Plainfield, I'm going to Plainfield. I get there are bad days in the service industry but I can't condone being rude to customers who genuinely want to make...
Read moreWasn’t really sure how to handle this situation but pulled up to window behind car for to go order. I didn’t realize I had to tell them my order at the drive thru intercom since I had already ordered on the app. Important later, there was one car infront of me, one car behind me. Once I pulled up to the window, barista said she couldn’t help me and I needed to pull up to the drive through intercom. I pulled around, she asked for my name at the drive through speaker, then had me pull forward and gave me my drinks. So here’s the thing - completely understandable had there been a line except the car behind me was gone and my car was quite literally the only car there, so I ended up just circling around the building back to the drive through window. She was also laughing at me and talking loudly about the situation as well. There are better ways to prove a point. Hoping the manager could review the footage to see exactly what happened to handle the situation...
