Wendy's — Restaurant in Avon

This Wendy’s is extremely fast whenever I’ve used the drive thru. Many times my food is handed to me as soon as I pull up to the window.

Updated 03/09/25: This location has gone down the drain. It used to be the fastest friendliest Wendy’s I’ve ever been to and over the past year and a half the quality of the employees that they have hired has dragged this store down in the mud. They have attitude every time you come to the window , most of them have earbuds in, so they can’t hear you when you’re talking to them, most of the time they have inappropriate hip-hop music playing at a high volume. They are having completely inappropriate conversations at the window about personal matters. And if you order within an hour of them closing, they refuse to make your food and just tell you that their computer system is down. On three different occasions over the past six weeks I have placed an order between 915 and 9:30 PM and when I show up to pick it up, I’m told they can’t check me in because their computers are down. It’s a complete bunch of bullshit because they have just cleaned up and they don’t wanna make any more food and wanna go home. Your location is in a very high-end area so I would highly recommend your reevaluate your current employees. This is the kind of service I expect in an East Cleveland or Oakwood...

Stopped in this location for a quick late lunch today...ordered the new ranch chicken wrap...and a beverage....the staff didn't even seem to know how to make it and didn't know how to roll it up... None of them had hair nets on , massive fro hair all over...most of the food service didn't have gloves on, and the order takers were using the register and doing food without gloves or using and sanitizer... The beverage machine wasn't working correctly so you got mostly carbonation and little flavor, poured the first things back into the drain...and some of the he selections were not available....

Only one table in the restaurant was seated, but there were many tables that needed serious attention...??? How does this happen after a pandemic just a few years back??? And it wasn't due to a shortage of employees...there was plenty of staff present. Wendy's as a whole has turned into the bottom feeder of the fast food chain...this was my first visit since an equally horrible visit over a year ago at the Amherst Ohio location... This whole chain needs a revamp in the Northern...

This is my favorite Wendy's in all of North East Ohio, and I've been to many!

However, I was a bit perturbed this afternoon when I went in for lunch. Before I had ordered, I witnessed the young lady on the right hand side of the make line pause mid-sandwich. After spending maybe 30-45 seconds texting on her phone (with gloves on) she went right back to making the same sandwich without changing her gloves.

While I was waiting for my food, she came to the front counter and started preparing orders there. Where she stopped again to text on her phone while several customers waited for their orders. Some just waiting for specialty drinks.

In addition to the food safety concerns of improperly using gloves, I felt it was unprofessional for her to be on the phone, while the one lady waited for her to prepare her drinks.

Everyone else seemed to be doing a steller job, it's a busy store and they handle the volume well. But unfortunately she stood out to me as not being a great representative of...
