My husband and I came through the drive thru for our dinner and both ordered our chicken to be cooked extra crispy and flats only, mine were Buffalo Garlic sauce (which you can not tell by the picture because they were recooked) and my husband's were teriyaki- with 2 extra teriyaki sauces on the side (very precise). When we received our order my combo had drums in it, no extra sauces and no straw for my beverage. We had to go back around and get back in the line to try to have this corrected. Olivia, (the cashier) was kind an immediately apologized and asked us to pull up to wait for my wings to be remade. She brought them out and before I could check them she was gone and they were yet again not correct. This time they were not extra crispy as initially ordered. We drove back around and Olivia was again kind and apologetic but there was another young lady in the window with an attitude that blurts out, " At this point go get a Manager!" As if we had done something wrong for trying to get our food right. So, a manager( Brooke) comes and takes the wings back from us through the window, asked me the order and to my surprise gave me the same wings back that had been fried over and sauce placed over them AGAIN to where they looked so old I wouldn't give something of that magnitude to my worst enemy....(Somehow I thought it was against OSHA and the Indiana Health Depts. Food Safety policies for food to reenter the fryer once it has been sauced and definitely after it has left the restaurant 🥴 but I could be mistaken!🤔) NOT!!! So, I open this box of the same wings the manager Brooke took back through the drive thru window, fried hard and sauced over again 😤and brought them back out to me as if they were fresh wings or something( or hoping I wouldn't notice- who knows) and told me that she even through in some cookies for our time...😳. Say what ??? I didn't order cookies nor did I want anything FREE!! I merely wanted my food to be made the way I ordered it the first time--- NOT THE FOURTH and still come out incorrect! How insulting after we had already waited over 30 minutes for 15 wings to be properly made!! I was baffled. I went inside and requested my money back and gave her her overcooked wings back and she was shocked as if she would eat that mess she gave me. This is like the 6th time I've been here and my food is wrong, had to finally say something. What I can say is having lived up North by the 86th St Zaxby's and absolutely loving their wings-- this new Avon location needs to go shadow that restaurant and see the quality of food they put out EVERY...
Read moreThe food was great, but the service was awful. We chose to dine in. We ordered the 20-piece tenders meal, fried pickles, and two drinks. When we got the order, I noticed we were missing our fries and Texas toast. I mentioned it to the lady working the register, and her first response was the 20-piece tenders doesn't come with fries and toast. I pointed to the menu, she noticed they did indeed come with fries (it's #6 on the menu.) She asked the cooks for the fries and the toast. A minute or so later, a different lady comes to check my recent. As it would turn out, the lady at the register rang us up for strictly 20 tenders, not the meal. We told the lady investigating our receipt (which is kind of ridiculous that was even happening) that we wanted the #6, but she must have rang it up wrong. The lady then basically said that we got what we paid for, so all was right. We asked if we just needed to adjust the order and pay to get the items. She said yes. Instead of just handling the issue then, they made us get back in line (which now had several people.) Once to the register, nobody knew how to retract the order and enter it correctly as the #6, or even discount the price of the fries so it would match the discount that comes with the value meal. At the end of the day, we overpaid to be inconvenienced, and didn't even get our toast. The chicken isn't that much better than other chicken joints to get the foul taste of bad service out of my mouth. Most likely won't be back...
Read moreDefinitely heard about this place before.... Coming from the South and the things that I heard I expected quite a bit more than what I got. Definitely a nice building.. fast friendly service. Arrived after an appointment at 11:30monday morning.... Wasn't that busy inside with only 3 tables.... 5 chicken finger basket with slaw and fries and sweet tea. Texas toast was let's just say nasty.... Dry and hard.... No butterflavor.. Bread was definitely cooked way in advance of my order... Chicken tenders didn't seem anything special, they were rather small and boring in flavor, just warm, not hot.. Crinkle cut fries adequate in a mount lukewarm when they came out not crispy at all...slaw was boring in flavor. Does this group believe in seasoning their food? Maybe the general manager instead of being in a booth doing some paperwork on a phone call next to me should have been back there with the crew making sure that food was coming out hot... To make things better... The sweet tea was good.... For a new store and for the great reputation that they have down South I expected a...
