The customer service is great at this location. I am definitely part of the group of people that love the food here, but feel it is overpriced. I try to find ways to make it more affordable for me to eat here because I like it so much. So as you may already know there’s advertisement of the Panera app, and coffee subscription for awhile now. I signed up right away and have ordered the coffee 4 times the past 2 months. Although the customer service is great and the food is good, I am not impressed with the quality of their coffee. The way it is handled is also questionable to me. The first time I ordered it from the app to be done I set a pick up time about an hour away, I called and told them I would let them know when I was on the way so that they could make the coffee and they said ok. When I called to let them know I was on the way, they told me the coffee was already made. I told them I already called ahead to let them know because I didn’t want a melted iced coffee. When I got there to pick it up the blended coffee and iced coffee were both melted, so I asked them to remake it, which they gladly did. The second time I sent for delivery, and the driver did not bring the coffee. I called the store and they definitely made things right. The third time I ordered, ice coffee arrived quick and fresh. So it’s definitely possible for coffees to not arrive completely melted in this AZ heat. No complaints. Today I ordered and one of the coffees was completely melted, and two coffees definitely not made to order. I think Panera could definitely address and fix this to make this right for everyone. How far ahead are they making these drinks for orders? How long are they allowing drinks to sit out and around for drivers? This was suppose to be 2 iced coffees with whip cream, cinnamon powder, chocolate and caramel drizzle. The almond milk was also flaky and chunky. The app also does have a whole lot of glitches. It wouldn’t take my Apple Pay, so I purchased a gift card, and then it said I had 0.00 on the gift card, so then I was calling customer service who verified there was nothing wrong with the gift card. So I waited it out and by that time breakfast was over and I had to change my order. I am not sure if I am going to continue with my...
Read moreHorrible experience, I took my dad to breakfast, 6/19/2023. We ordered, I made the mistake of adding tip to my credit card, before getting my food. I was given a square device that was supposed to notify me when my order was ready. My dad and I sat down and visited with the device on our table. The device never went off, I should mention at 8:45 am there were maybe 3 to 4 other customers came into the restaurant. The order was 2 sandwiches, very simple. I started noticing that other people who had come in behind my dad and I 10 minutes after, were starting to pick up their orders. I went up to the counter with my receipt and device to enquire about my food. I discovered our sandwiches were sitting on counter, for at least 15 mins or longer. When I enquired about why I had not been notified the person who was fixing the food said that he had called me twice. My name was never called out and the notification device never went off. I cancelled my order, because of the fact I wasn't sure how long it had been sitting there, one sandwich had egg whites and they were both hot breakfast sandwiches. I had to speak with the manager to get a refund and then I was shorted $1.35 and when I called and spoke with manager later this morning, I was told they couldn't refund tips. The tip I put on my card was $2 not $1.35. I will dispute this with my credit card company. I learned a very valuable lesson, do not put tips on an order before getting your services. Tip only after services and products have been completed, so companies can't short change you as a customer. There was no reason that my food should have set there that long, they didn't seem short handed and it was very slow, hardly any customers there. That should have told me to turn around and leave before we ordered. I will never do...
Read moreWent in for the first time and was not impressed. As im looking for my coffee (which appears you can just walk in and take it for free anyway) I stand there. No one greets me. Frankly, I don’t like ordering my coffee the way I like just to get there and be told make it yourself. “I’ll get you the syrup but you have to do the rest yourself”. You can’t just say it’s self serve? I felt like an inconvenience needless to say. I had to make iced coffee with hot coffee and use ice from a soda machine: tacky, time consuming, and embarrassing. I would like to include the fact that they were not busy. Mind you at LEAST 8 employees are standing back there on their phones. This pandemic has caused a surge of unemployment which lead to places hiring just anybody and everybody, evidently. I understand it could get busy but in the meantime make yourselves more useful and be a bit more energetic. This could have ruined the average persons day but I didn’t let it as I am not the average person. Please commit to better customer service because amid this poor experience and first time impression I couldn’t help but think I should be at Starbucks. I left one star because everything from walking in was unacceptable. However, I will say, the cookie I had was delectable. Would I pay $4 for a cookie? No. It was complimentary so I suppose that was a one and done situation. I can’t pass up free coffee but honestly I could get this at home without the 16 minute commute and 5 minute pick up order. You’ll have to do way better for an outstanding review. I don’t...
