Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Azusa

Yikes. The manager and owner should be ashamed of themselves. 3 customers walked out while my wife and I were dining. No one acknowledged them and these were 2 different parties. Manager never came out. One party sat themselves because no one was acknowledging them. The waitress came over and started yelling,

"hey who seated them? Did you seat them?"

Hostess: "No they just sat themselves."

Waitress: "well I'm not serving them" turns to another waiter "you gonna serve them?"

Waiters: "uh no"

Hostess: "you need to wait until I tell you you can be seated." (Hollered to customer)

The patrons got up extremely angry and walked out. If they were attended to instead of being ignored none of this would have happened (btw they were sitting around 5 other vacant booths). Mind you this whole time the Manager never once came out. He was too busy being chummy with his college age staff. The only thing he managed to do on the floor was look at his watch at some point and walk back to the kitchen.

Then you had another guy waiting and waiting for a to go order. For almost 20 minutes waiters and staff walked by him and didn't acknowledge his existence even to say hello. Eventually he gave up and walked out to.

Btw our Mozzarella sticks were cold, buffalo wings were hard like chewing obsidian and hurting my teeth, and our waiter seemed just so THRILLED to be serving us (sarcasm). He came by "do you guys still need me or we good?" REALLY???? WHO OWNS THIS CLOWN SHOW OF AN...

I always go to applebees with a group of friends when we don't know what to get because they close late and always good. This applebees was the worst one I've been to ever. The service was so slow and horrible, probably understaffed. Food was less than warm, and took forever to come. It took like 5 minutes to get sit down. 25 To get service. 30ish to get food. And the food was cold. I had boneless wing deal at another establishment and the wings always came in hot. This place they Cleary cooked a bunch of wings kept them off to the side(not even in a warmer) because my wings were less than warm and all dry. Also at one point I asked for two ranches and they brought me a regular size ranch, and like a shot glass sized ranch but half full. As if they were running out of ranch but too lazy or too busy or understaffed to make more ranch. At one point we couldn't get service that I asked the manager ( or at least I assumed so since he has a suit and tie) for an order of wings. He took it as if he took an order. He ended up just nodding his head and walking off. Having to wait like 10 more minutes for service and then 20 minutes after that for food. This place needs new management, hire more workers or idk what. Kitchen stuff obviously cutting corners with food not even Warm. Surprised I didn't get sick. I'll prob contact corporate but I'm second guessing it because I'll probably be on a phone call for like 10 minutes for a apology and a 5...

The restaurant is clean, parking is simple & the atmosphere itself is very pleasant decorated with pictures of the city and people from the city of Azusa, as expected the customers vary from Young to older and their happy hour that we unknowingly arrived at seemed to be doing well, our server and the host were attentive and friendly our server I believe was named Jenny the host Anthony, Management does come around and check that all is well, now as for the food it seems to be "pre prepped" which is understandable to a point until it affects taste you see the taste seems to be generic and fast foodish @ best, I had chicken strips my wife had the riblets though they were both "good" at best, the quality seems to have dropped not that this was ever a high-end gourmet meal but I would expect better than a Wendy's, Carl's, Burger King taste if you're expecting more than this type of flavor this is not the place to go if it's for a quicky so-so meal or just a place to hang out meet friends or see some games I recommend, keep your expectations @ the middle of the road in my opinion. As for ADA it is very friendly in that sense, bathrooms were clean easy to get around with customer and bar areas accommodating...
