I would first like to say that I am not a complainer and for me to complain, it would have to have really been a bad experience. Now, let me start from the beginning. It's a Friday night, my wife and I get there and we're told that it will be a 45 minute wait. That's all good and fine. We actually only waited about ten minutes before we were seated. Things are going well so far. We sit there for about five or so minutes before we're greeted and have our drink/appetizer order taken. It was a little long to wait, but again, it's a Friday night, so it's all good. I ordered a mango tea and my wife gets a water. It takes almost ten minutes for our drinks to come out and my mango tea didn't really have any mango syrup in it and my wife wanted to order a strawberry lemonade by this time. The appetizer came and it was DELICIOUS. Now things start to go downhill. We sit there, and sit there, and sit there, and sit there. We watched our server go up to other tables, talk to them and take dirty dishes away. He did this about three or four times. We watched him go up to another table that had been seated after us and get their drinks and come back and take their order. By this time, it had been almost 30 minutes since our drinks were dropped off. We hadn't ordered our food and my wife wasn't able to order her lemonade or anything like that. At this point, I grabbed another server walking by and asked if he could take our order because our server never came back to us. We both ordered a salad and my wife got the four cheese mac with the chicken strips on top and I got boneless wings and a basket of fries. Our salads came and they were alright. They were cut in very big chunks and were very just, plain salads. Okay, whatever. We wait another half an hour after we get our salads for our food to arrive. I get my wings and they are all dull looking and you can clearly tell that they've been sitting out for awhile. They were still warm, so I took a bite and they had absolutely no flavor and they were disgusting. I told my wife this and she said that she could tell that her macaroni had been sitting out for awhile as well, because the noodles were hard and dry. She decided to try and eat it when I had already sent my wings back and asked my server to not charge me for them. I honestly don't think I've ever sent food back in my life. A few bites in to her meal, she pointed out that the noodles were hard, dry, and that there was no cheese on them. She sent her meal back. All in all, this was a horrible experience for us. I don't know if this was just an off night, or what was going on, but I don't think I've ever had an experience at a restaurant that has prompted me to write this type of review. You can see on Yelp that I never write reviews. This place has good reviews from the looks of it, so I hope that you guys get your stuff back together. I also thought that it was weird that the manager never came up to us after our server told us that he comped us. It's my opinion that a manager should go up to each and every table and ask about the customer's experience, no matter what. We were comped for our my wings, fries, and my wife's meal, but I still felt the need to point out our experience from tonight. I have never been to this Applebees, and my wife hasn't been here in over a year, so we will probably go back to eat here one more time and if the experience is anything like this one, we will...
Read moreI genuinely used to love this place! The food, drinks, and servers used to be super awesome! Today I went in with my family for some food and drinks to celebrate my upcoming graduation. They were not very busy since we went at about 3:30pm. We ordered food and drinks, my mom and I had 2 drinks each and my brothers had 3. As we tried to order our last drink our server explained to us that she’d need to have a manager come speak to us as we’d reached the limit. We were confused as that has never happened before but the dollarita special was going on and we understood that people get a little crazy during that time. After almost 10-15 minutes of waiting our server came back out saying she’d spoken to the manger and that the manger had told her she only felt comfortable serving us one more drink. We felt a little off about that and decided to have the manger come out and speak with us anyway. After a few more minutes the manger came out and she explained that the server had lied about how many drinks we’d each had. The server had told her manager that we’d each had 4 drinks. That obviously was not the truth and we cleared things up with the manger at which point she told us that we were fine to get another drink without issue and apologized for the servers mistake. In the end we decided to close out the tab as we now felt uncomfortable with our server and when we asked for the tab she still came over and tried to argue saying we’d had more drinks than we had actually ordered. She abruptly walked away back to the bar and said very loudly to the manager that we were lying about how many drinks we’d had and that we were trying to not pay. We were so shocked by the server’s behavior, honestly I’d never experienced such poor service ANYWHERE. She caused a scene in front of everyone at the restaurant and left me so embarrassed and ruined what had been a great experience up to that point. I’m extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall experience and service I received from our server, the manager did a wonderful job with the crummy situation the server had created. I know good workers are hard to find but people like this should definitely not be in the service industry. It’s a real shame because it brings down the quality of...
Read moreI can't even begin to explain how quickly I fell out of love with applebees food simply because of bad customer service on two occasions within a span of 72 hours. I let the first one pass and didn't even let them know there was a mistake the first time. I had an order around 8:30pm and I got my usual which is the 2 for 22 (which is a great price for amazing tasting food highly recommend all the appetizers are hitters). For my entree I usually get there bourbon street chicken and shrimp which comes with onions and mushrooms. I get extra mushrooms and onions everytime. This time around I think I ate 4 pieces of mushroom and then asked myself what did I pay for. So I look under my chicken and they straight up gave me three serving of onions. So in my brain I'm like "oh they must have been low on mushroom or whatever and swapped it, no sweat, let it pass, not a big deal". But then two days later, today, I got another 2 for 22. This time it was late and we literally got the last order of the night, 10 o'clock pm. Now I was expecting it to probably be a little on the rushed side (just wait till you see I got pics) cuz you know last order of the night, but yo believe me when I tell you, my boyfriend ordered the 8oz top sirloin and they browned the outside and gave him pretty much a rare steak when he asked for medium. THATS NOT EVEN THE WORST PART. Because it's the last order of the night we didn't notice till we got home and applebees is technically closed. Idk who tells them they dont have to answer phones after service hours, when theyre cleaning up but I just wanted to tell them my boyfriends steak was not edible but they repeatedly hung up on me for an hour after closing, instead of having a 4 min conversation (which I will promptly do in the morning as soon as they open). So yea a big massive F for customer service but everything else is A++. So you decide, or just dont order late cuz they give no f's. And I get it food service is stressful which is why I hesitated to write this but I bet the person that kept hanging up the phone got to eat something...
