Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I called to attempt a reservation 2 weeks prior to coming into the establishment. They no longer do reservations. I had a large party and just wanted them to be prepared because it was an important time in our family. They promised it would be fine. I got there and immediately saw that the managers did not communicate about is coming. The manager working(I'm so sorry for not catching your name) immediately said nope I will make this work, please give me 30 minutes. She did just that! We were sat exactly 30 minutes later. We had 30 people. The server was amazing(I again forgot to catch your name) and went above and beyond. Drinks were kept refilled. Food was perfect. I appreciate everything every single one of you did, for us. This was an unforgettable day for my son's 18th birthday.

If you plan to go in with a large party, get there early. Be patient. Understand it will be overwhelming. Give grace. And get one check! It is a breeze for everyone at that point.

Absolutely disgusted. I will never eat here again. I placed a take out order at 5 pm yesterday. The waitress told me 25 minutes. I waited a hour and a half. While I waited I witnessed several of the wait staff touch their hair and face then thoroughly touch food. Even saw a girl wipe her nose on her hand and touch food. Saw a girl touch food, lick her fingers and touch more food. After bringing this to a managers attention, he spoke to a girl, and she came to me with incredible attitude, tell me she washed her hands. 5 minutes later, she touch her hair yet again and then food. The manager offered me a measly $10 coupon to try and make me feed better. But I assured him that I will not be coming back to eat from their nasty kitchen. I intend on calling the health department after I write this to make sure no one else has to eat after these idiots handle your food. Oh yeah, I took my food home finally, and found that brat waitress' hair in my burger. we didnt eat a bite. Went to macaroni grill instead. I'm getting my money back. please stay away...

This is a very well run Chili's Restaurant. I want to call out two employees who go above and beyond. The first is the manager named Cindy. She is always friendly and welcoming, and she is a real hands-on manager who solves the multitude of puzzles that arise each shift with a smile and with kindness. She is wicked smart, and she works hard to make sure the restaurant is running very well, which is a difficult trick for such a high volume location. The second employee is a server named Dustin. He is exceptional. It's rare to find a server at any restaurant, and I'm including those high priced restaurants such as Spago, Scandia, and Musso & Frank Grill, some of which don't exist anymore, but which always had very attentive staff. Dustin bends over backwards to really listen to what the customer is looking for within their order. The staff at this Rosedale Chili's comprise some really great people.
