Pasta Bowls — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I saw the sign one day and the next I decided to go try it, Tired of fast food and Mexican cuisine every friggin day with all due respect to everybody, Took me a while to figure out that the pasta bowl is the same as the Mexican cuisine restaurant.

The fact that people saying Italian restaurant about a Mexican cuisine restaurant is hilarious.

I respect the business owner being creative and bringing a franchise in as an add-on kind of a genius move, But unfortunately from experience been here in Bakersfield over 12 years, People here are used to couple of things and that's about it. That's why a lot of businesses open and close on a weekly basis if not daily basis.

I went there and no one aknowledge us for 15 minutes and my buddy used the only ordering terminal a.k.a machine and I had to be creative and order over their website, Here was the problem. My buddy got the food almost in less than 15 minutes.

I sat for 45 minutes till someone acknowledged me and ask me if needed help, I said where's my food? 45 minutes, I honestly kinda though it will happen, They checked and my order from 15 didn't show up on their system. The girl working there asked me to wait and I never complained. Took her another 20 minutes, It was one of the most frustrating experiences in my life, I have diabetes and I started feeling dizzy, Got the food and left.

I will never ever go back there unfortunately, But the pasta bowl was alright.

I am very disappointed with my visit today. The place was not busy at all. No customers around when I arrived. I waited nearly 30mins for my order of a pasta bowl and a meatless nacho. The chips they offer complimentary as you wait for your order was quite stale; however, the dip was delicious. The lady that took my order had said she would call out when it’s ready but she never did, I had to go ask about it in order to get my order. Considering the stale complimentary chips, I was concerned my nacho chips would also be stale, but upon receiving my order, I couldn’t even tell if they were stale because the chips were all soggy. I was expecting my nacho chips to be crispy, at least some, but all were soggy. Overall, despite no crunch or texture to the meatless nachos, it tasted good. As far as the pasta goes, the marinara was a bit too salty to my taste but the ravioli was cook to perfection. I plan to give this place another shot another time, and hopefully I have a...

The shift manager Ev was not friendly. She helped the customer behind me and did not acknowledge me. She was not welcoming or friendly upon ordering. once at the register I redeemed my discount and then she removed my discount and said I can’t use it on Taco Tuesday (even though I bought a burrito). She was robotic about it and didn’t give a “sorry” or other option. It was my first time here. I told her my discount was already redeemed and asked if I could use but she said NO. Also I had a long wait. Then I got home and 4 tacos were missing! I called to let them know and the employee that answered the phone refused to give me her name (I wanted her name for future reference of redeeming my missing tacos). Not a good experience!!
