I’ve been coming here since the day they opened, and let me tell you—this place only gets better with time! The owners are some of the most generous, family-oriented people you’ll ever meet. Even on the busiest nights, when the wait can stretch to an hour or more, they never fail to greet every guest with a smile and thank each person as they leave. They truly care about their customers and go above and beyond to make things right if there’s ever an issue. They are the very definition of “the customer is always right.”
Now, let’s talk about the food—because it’s just incredible. If you’re a fan of hand-tossed Neapolitan-style pizza with a perfectly fluffy crust, this is the spot. The wood-fired brick ovens (fueled only by real wood—no propane or chemicals) give each pizza an authentic flavor you won’t find anywhere else. The wings are another must-try: tender, juicy, and falling right off the bone. They also serve two types of burgers—one with a spicy kick and one without—plus a variety of fresh, crisp salads. Honestly, there isn’t a single thing on the menu that isn’t mouthwatering.
And don’t forget dessert! If you’re at the Ball Ground location, make sure to save room for their homemade ice cream. They usually have around eight flavors, and they sell out quickly for good reason. It’s the perfect way to end your meal.
Whether you’re in Ball Ground or Cumming, Dominic’s is worth the stop. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is warm, and the owners make you feel like family. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is simple: if you want authentic, delicious pizza (and more), this is the...

Long Island rock band Taking Back Sunday must have had a premonition about Dominic’s joint when they penned the lines, “You need me like a bad habit, One that leaves you defenseless, dependent and alone.” I felt the same - plus weak in the knees from ice cream overconsumption - after my first trip. I have no regrets.
Truthfully, finding pizza that ticks all the boxes in a family that includes NY transplants, children who cite “fast n fresh” box stores as haute cuisine, and totally naive pizza fans (me, myself and I) can be difficult. So when I was informed that no only had my family sans moi visited such an establishment but that the proprietor has gone so far as to tell my oh-so-picky-about-everything son how he REALLY wanted his pizza prepared, well, that would have been enough for me.
But as others have mentioned, they also have ice cream and drinks (kids can serve themselves from the water cooler inside which was a power trip my youngest son loved).
That was impressive but Dominic won’t be outdone on a Saturday night. So he ups the ante with a ribeye. Cooked to order with a salad and a knowing smile that says, “ I know it’s perfect but I’ll be back in 10 to check on how you liked it.” It was perfect and from the satisfied grins from the surrounding tables who ordered the same, I'm guessing theirs was too.
My kids loved it and I got to dance with my daughter to 50’s/60’s music from a live band. Suffice to say, I’m sold and will be back...

We went to downtown Ball Ground as a family and stumbled upon Dominic's, where we were greeted by Dominic himself. A warm welcome ensued and we ordered our food at the trailer (containing friendly and helpful guys) and had a seat outside with our dog, Missy and 3 small children.
Our kids ate for free which was really nice! Small cheese pizzas. They were excellent and the kids enjoyed them! If you want a spot that gives back, here it is.
I got a stromboli. Very difficult item to pull off and they aced it. Crust was perfect, especially the seasoning. Ingredients were tasty and you could tell it was MADE WITH CARE AND PRIDE.
My wife got a gyro which was also incredible with fresh ingredients. I got one of those to go and it tasted incredible.
This is a great place to hang out, the inside of the building was set up to stay and "chill". I think I even saw a guy pick up an acoustic guitar that was available. Pretty cool.
There wasn't much tile work in the bathroom, but the tile floor was done very well. As someone who knows what I'm looking at, the decor and the quality of finish work inside the restaurant also displayed the trend of CARE.
The overall ESSENSE of this experience was ON POINT. 50's and 60's motif.
They make GREAT FOOD here. Lot of pride in what they...
