Delightful like no other dining room!! I stayed at the hotel because I was so drawn to the style after visiting the New Orleans location. Baltimore’s did not disappoint. The hotel is a little dark and moody, with color brought in through surprising details (teal tiles with blank sink & shower?!). But on to ash bar - incredible! It just drips with exclusivity from the entrance. The dining room is blocked off from view by an old school folding partition. Once you’re seating the excitement starts. The service is impeccable. The staff are too cool and gracious. We sat for brunch. Benedict, French toast, 24 hour pressed potatoes. Enjoy this place!! And dress for breakfast, the glamour of the room deserves it.

Stopped here for afternoon brunch drinks. This is a gorgeous "cafe society" time capsule lounge for morning coffee and breakfast, lunchtime day drinks and or a chic weekend brunch either at the bar, tables or on chairs/sofas, which look prime for reading and writing. Later meals and dinners such as steak tartar have a simple but appealing European flair. The Ulysses Hotel is already an inmersive treat and Ash Bar, resembling an art-deco train dining car with some chinoserie touches is quite a local asset, with no detail left untouched. Prices, given the ambiance and details are actually very fair and comparable, especially coffee and espresso drinks. Kind, attentive staff. Will be returning.

This is good bar in the ulysses Hotel. Every time I’ve come, it’s been near empty which is a bummer because the drinks are drunk and the food is good. Being that it is not very packed, that affects the atmosphere which means you have the bring the energy you want to have in this bar. The music is low, the lighting is very comfortable but I can’t say it’s a very “fun” bar. It’s a good bar in a very nice hotel. The bartender is great!

I made a reservation for dinner (confirmation text said "dinner") at 6p on Sunday. Cancellation / no show fee was $25/pp, so when I looked up the place to get directions and saw its Google page listed it as closed, I tried calling just to confirm. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then tried to call back about 6 times to no one picking up. The front desk person was rude when I tried to clarify if Ash Bar served dinner and informed me that there was no direct line to the bar and all calls went to the front desk.

There was 1 person working the entire bar and it took us about 20 minutes for her to visit our table to take out order. There was no dinner menu (why would you allow dinner reservations, and include a no show fee?), but a very limited small plates menu. The bar itself was pretty, but also was kept very hot compared to even other parts of the hotel. Food was small portioned, drinks were fine.

Won't be returning unfortunately, but I would suggest to the management that the Google page and website be updated to reflect the...

My SO and I were staying at the hotel, we go down to the cafe to grab something to eat. We walk up to the counter where 3 staff members are standing around joking and talking with each other. We ask them if we order there or at a table. They rudely brush us off and tell us to go sit down, and they'll get to us when they can, and they continue to just stand around and talk. So, we go to sit down, and literally every single table had a bunch of dirty dishes on it. We sit at the least dirty table. They continue to stand around and talk for another 10-15 minutes, not clearing off tables, getting us waters. Nothing. We eventually just leave, not being served once or see them clear off a single table. As we're walking out, we even hear another table tell the waitress that finally goes to them that they are still waiting for some item. What a lazy rude staff for such an expensive place. I hope they're not getting paid much, because they really...

Another gem of a bar in Mt Vernon. Hotel Ulysses has two bars - ash and blooms. They are both fantastic and I would highly recommend them. Ash bar is slightly larger and they have food options. Blooms on the other hand is more intimate and just has small bites. If you’re going with a larger group of people (say more than 4), Ash bar might be a better options.

Service is fantastic and the ambience is on point. Lots of wonderful cocktail options, and priced reasonably. We went with a group of friends, some of them grabbed a table to eat dinner while the rest of the us lounged on their sofas and had drinks. Worked out well for us!

We went on a Friday night without a reservation and were immediately seated. I don’t know how busy it gets but if you’re going with a large group might be worth getting a reservation.

We will definitely be...
