Add a former pharmacy tech for 18 years, this is by far the worst pharmacy I've dealt with in probably over 20 years.. terrible unprofessional attitudes.. never answer the phone and the wait time just to pick up your Rx averages 15-20 minutes, that is insane! The final straw: I've been without insurance for 3 months and have been paying cash for my Rx.. ran out of refills for hydrochlorothiazide, which is a BP Med/fluid pill.. I had gone 4 days without it and my feet and legs begin to swell and my pressure sky rocketed.. called the pharmacy and asked for a 3 day supply until I could get to a doctor for a new prescription.. I've been getting my meds there since 2019.. the tech put me on hold and came back and said, "we don't do that".. I asked to speak to the pharmacist and he came to the phone and said "I can't do that".. the next day my feet had swelled so bad that I couldn't even put shoes on . We've to the ER and my pressure was 206/122.. this pharmacy should be shut down immediately until they find a professional full time pharmacist.. The Black male pharmacy's (don't know his name) is NOT a "Healthcare Professional".. he's just an employee who comes to work to do his 8 hours and wait for payday.. I'm embarrassed to say everyone in the pharmacy looks like me and doesn't have an ounce of professionalism in their blood.. and it all starts with the lead pharmacist.. As a longtime former pharmacy tech this...
Read moreI scheduled a flu shot and Covid booster here in November. Not only did they make us wait an hour after the appointment time, they seemed to have no idea how to process my common health insurance, and the waiting area was filthy. Like, bandaid and used cotton swab on the floor. Not to be petty, but I also felt like the shots hurt way worse than usual, and I attribute that to the pharmacist’s level of skill. If you’re afraid of needles, let me tell you that their setup, where you are backed into a corner of the wall by a privacy screen and pharmacist towering over you, after you’ve sweated this out for an hour after your scheduled time, is an absolute worst-case scenario. I passed out on their floor twice afterward and no one there noticed, and I’ve never passed out from a shot.
But even WORSE is that now, over two months later, I have gotten a call that my flu shot may not be effective because the fridge they stored it in wasn’t cold enough. Which begs the questions:
Did they sit on this important health information for two months? Or fail, for two months straight, to document safe refrigeration temperatures, requiring them to tell likely thousands of people that their vaccines were possibly useless? Either one is pretty bad! Is my booster also bad? Who knows!
I would not recommend going here...
Read moreCame to pick up my prescription last week, got home and found out it was the wrong quantity. Called the next day, and told to come pick up the rest. A few days later I come and get told that it was falsely marked as having been picked up and as a result, I can't get my meds. So not only did I get less than I should last time I came,. I can't get the correct RX now because of someone else's mistake.
Currently I'm moving, and will have no insurance to get my meds for a few months, so this just. Isn't great. Asked the pharmacist technicians to check th physical location of the meds, as it would still be there then, since it was marked as picked up in the system. This means that then there would be no flag telling them to go to the physical location to get it and put it back. They refused to literally turn around and take a minute and just waved me off saying there's nothing they can do, that since it wasn't picked up, the system would have told them to put it back. Even though, the same system is telling them it was, in fact, picked up.
If you ever come here, or any other CVS pharmacy, check your medication on the spot. The techs won't help you, no matter what, and pass the blame onto the system or someone else rather than try...
