I think I found my new favorite neighborhood bar. Bloom's was absolutely filled with fun and lively energy for a Wednesday night! The bartenders and staff had a great synergy, the patrons were all smiling and having a fantastic time, and the drinks? PHENOMENAL! I have made new friends and met with old while at Bloom's and we always feel welcomed by the professional, fun staff. Shoutout to Dyyo for my strawberry drink that tasted like paradise in a cup. My neighbor on another bar stool eyed it as soon as Dyyo made it and also immediately asked for one cause it looked (and was) so good! [EDIT: Each time I go to Bloom's and Dyyo is working, he always listens to what I like and makes sure the drink fits my mood PERFECTLY, even when I can't fully articulate what I want, he knows! When you're there, he also seems to know everyone coming and going. He's the life of the night!] Admittedly I have a biased favorite, but please know that ALL of the bartenders really care about what they're doing and make you a fantastic drink on OR off menu. The ambiance of the bar is so fun and fancy, but you can dress semi-casually or be dressed to the nines and feel comfortable. Despite seeming like a small space, there are lots of seats if you sit in the mirrored, velvet booths around the perimeter of the room. Always looking forward to my next visit! So much fun!

I love the lux vibe in here. The staff is always nice and the drinks are tasty

Blooms is a stunning cocktail lounge tucked inside the Hotel Ulysses — a true gem with a regal, vintage ambiance that transports you straight back to the Roaring Twenties. The plush velvet booths and ceilings, paired with charming vintage lamps at each table, create an atmosphere that’s both elegant and nostalgic. The staff were kind and attentive, even amid a busy Saturday crowd. We arrived around 5:30 p.m., and by 6:30 the lounge was nearly full. It took about 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which is understandable given how popular the space is, but something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during peak hours. We tried The Matchmaker, Summertime, and Sateen Daydream — all beautifully crafted and strong cocktails, leaning more on the bitter side rather than sweet. While the drinks weren’t exactly my go-to flavor profile, the craftsmanship and presentation were impressive. Blooms truly shines as a venue for live music and performances, which they host on weekends (check their website for event details). I’d definitely return to experience a show in such a stylish setting. It’s not my top pick for a casual cocktail, but for atmosphere and entertainment, Blooms is hard to beat.

Edit - After posting the initial one star review, we were invited back for a do over. This was night and day. We had the same server and were well compensated by Bloom's. The service this second time was spectacular. The drinks were good, and the shrimp cocktail was amazing! Thank you to Bloom's for righting your wrong. We are very pleased and will return!!! Also, Hotel Ulysses (the hotel Bloom's is in) is very nice as well. I think the way they treated us speaks volumes to the value they place on customer service and I am more than happy to chalk up our first visit to a "bad night" for all parties involved.

WARNING - I strongly caution anyone who glances at the 4.5 rating and does not believe the numerous and consistent one star reviews.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed. After reading reviews, my wife and I were thrilled to go here, well, I should have listened to the other one star reviews. They are very consistent with the experience - a nice but cramped space to take pictures and get a good drink, paired with ATROCIOUS customer service.

I had booked reservations for 9pm and we showed up at 9:03. On the Resy website it stated that our reservation was limited to 90 minutes. Upon arrival we were informed that another group had "bought out" the side of the lounge area we were sitting on and said we would be limited to one hour. Our order was taken a few minutes after we got there (according the receipt our order was taken at 9:13). By 9:28 we received our drinks (I know the exact time because I took a picture of it). At 9:40, the check was dropped off at our table and the server did not even speak to us, they just put it on the table. We asked for one more drink after flagging down the server who ignored us the first time. The response was "you cannot order another drink because there is not enough time." This was at 9:41 - we had 20 minutes remaining on our already shortened reservation.

After this awkward interaction with our waiter, we asked to speak to a manager and were told there was no manager available. This was confirmed by the hostess and she said that the only way to reach a manager was by emailing the front desk of the hotel that Blooms is located in.

This was an awful way to end my wife's birthday celebration. I was embarrassed.

The wait staff being rude and inconsiderate pales in comparison to the lack of leadership and management of this establishment. The money that we were spending is just as valuable as the money of the party that entered after us. If you are unable to properly book your bar, you should not be managing it.

Needless to say, we will not be returning, and again, I strongly caution anyone who glances at the 4.5 rating and does not believe the numerous and consistent one...

My friend who is visiting from out of town for our homecoming weekend and I arrived last night for our 9:15 reservation. We were seated right away. The ambience was beautiful. It was looking like it was gonna be a vibe and be an amazing night. However, there was a 3 foot long industrial air-conditioning duct directly over our heads. Last night, it was only in the 60s, so it was freezing and also who can enjoy and relax when you’re being blown in the back of the neck with extremely cold air-conditioning? OK no worries so I asked the waitress if we could sit in one of the open tables she tells me that they’re getting it ready for another party that’s made a reservation that’s coming in. Ok…and so we ask well can’t we sit there and they can take the table that we are sitting at when they come in? She tells us “well then, THEY will be cold.” Speaking about the people who are coming in next after we are already here and I’ve already placed an order for drinks and food. I felt like I was in the twilight zone, why would she say this to me that I should be concerned about two random people that have a reservation after me and if they are going to be cold or not, and therefore I should just deal with it?? She basically said sorry, ladies, and just walked away…. So after she refused to move us, I asked her well. Can you do something about the air-conditioning? Again, nothing happened… I don’t think anyone wants to sit inside of a cocktail bar and be extremely uncomfortable while spending a couple hundred bucks. My girl and I were just trying to have a great night but obviously that ruined it so, we asked for the check we paid our check and we left. We felt very unwelcomed and like we didn’t matter because in fact, a stranger that has not arrived yet we should care about them being cold… The group of women next to us had also previously been sitting where we were sitting and had also requested to move so clearly this has been an issue here. My issue is the lack of customer service the lack of hospitality. We were basically just told to deal with it and I just find that completely unacceptable, especially since we were literally looking at two open tables. The place is beautiful. I really wish I had had a better experience, however I’ll never return here and , unfortunately, can’t...

I give one star overall for the interior design and zero stars for everything else. I had reservations for 9:15pm. When I arrived I was told that they are doing last call at 10-10:15pm because the place is booked out for tonight. The place being booked out for the night isn’t the problem. The problem is I should’ve been told that when I made the reservations. They literally had all the times open to book. So if I would’ve booked after 10 I would’ve got turned away completely. They even got a courtesy text saying we won’t have a full hour due to a private event. We decided that we could just have one drink. However, we were sitting for 15 minutes before we decided to leave because no one decided to come over to help us. Not only is I’m not even going to have a full hour but now we’re not even getting serviced. I shouldn’t have to track down the waiter for help. It looked like they were busy setting up for the event. After that we decided to leave. To make matters worst the person in my party drove a long way to the city just to come to this cocktail bar on top of that it was her birthday. At this point all restaurants in the area and downtown Baltimore is booked. Everywhere we went was two hour plus wait times. This is where the issue really come in. If they would’ve just contacted me to let me know the restaurant is getting booked out that night we could’ve made plans elsewhere. This is terrible customer service to me. I hate places that masquerade themselves as a five star establishment just to have lousy customer service. We never been here and was excited to come, but now the chances of me returning is...
