Why is the female working the register/answering the phone super sad all the time and seems that she hates her job and doesn’t want to serve you in a professional manner?
We ordered from this place occasionally because the food USED to be good and we kind of TOLERATED her sad, unprofessional and very depressing way of handling the order taking/handing off process. When you call to place an order, you feel her sadness through the phone conversation, which is super rude and not polite at all. She starts by saying “what do you want” instead of saying something along the lines of thank you for calling how may I help you and followed by what would you like to order? She then ends with “is that all?”, “it’ll be 30/40 minutes” and hangs up the phone. Again, the reason we kept going back WAS the quality and quantity of food (was is the key word). However, that’s not the case anymore and the last straw has been pulled.
As for food quality: The grease they used for frying the fries that we ordered was old, meaning it needs to be changed since it smells bad, tastes horrible and the food comes out darker than normal, which leads to assume the grease hasn’t been changed in a while. Moreover, the fries we ordered smelled like seafood and super dark due to the oil they used for frying being old, which was nasty and a terrible experience. The food taste isn’t the same as it used to be AND the pasta’s portion that we always ordered, was definitely less than usual by at least 20%, what’s happening there?
Back to service issues: one would conclude that the front/phone person is the number one reason for the decline in service due to her lack of professionalism, unfriendly manners, and to be honest, in general the interaction with her will make you feel NOT welcomed as a patron and if I had use only one word to describe the interaction with her would be: Depressing. Now that the food quality and quantity has gone down also, it certainly added to the list of why one SHOULD NOT order from this place. Unfortunately the place that we used to look forward to order food from on a weekly basis for the past 4-5 years has gone down the drains and it’s sad to see them fail. Don’t take my word for it, just pick up the phone and call to place an order. You’ll experience what I am typing here. It’s a shame that ownership/upper management doesn’t demand her manners to be more patron friendly, and at the very least require/train her to thank the patrons for ordering food and bringing their business to this establishment.
Speaking of ownership/management: No need for a reply back here to this review, instead put the energy and focus towards training/educating the front/phone staff on how to treat people kindly, take orders in a professional manner, and appreciate patrons for their business, that’s all. It’s not rocket science, it’s simple: be professional and thankful, don’t cut corners with food (change the oil regularly and keep portions the same - you’ve already raised the prices surely due to costs going up BUT cutting portions at the same time, NO). If you need to raise prices along with cutting portions, at the very least, let patrons know in advance instead of assuming patrons won’t know the difference, we surely found out on our own and it’s a negative experience.
Lastly, mistakes do happen, and maybe the less portion that was given to us was a mistake. However, the way the front staff handle issues patrons may have (as seen in other patrons’ reviews here on Google) make it hard to be heard and this is super alarming since you can’t communicate your concerns/issued with them. We hope everyone there will find their peace and can enjoy their time there so that they can provide the minimal service required to gain patrons’ trust and let us patrons know that our business is valued at...
Read moreI recommended this establishment based off of my experience from a year ago, sadly the food and service has changed since then. We ordered lunch for the office and an entree was missing, I called the restaurant and the lady at first DENIED that an entree was missing. I told her that she couldn’t be looking at the same order that I was looking at on uber eats, she put me on hold then returned to the call and admitted that an entree was indeed missing. She then asked if someone would pick up the entree from the restaurant ( that was the point of getting delivery!) I told her that wasn’t an option she then stated she’d see if uber eats would do so..40 minutes passed no word from her so we called back she informed us that a refund would have to be made. Two days later uber eats informed me that no refund was made. Terrible service and all of our the food was very bland , Mac and cheese was watered down with no flavor, ribs sauce tasted like store brand bbq sauce, wings no spices ( ordered Asian sesame seeds/ no seeds no flavor) the fries were the best out of all. Never again! We ordered 11 entrees and the fries were all that was eaten in...
Read moreJust my perspective.. my review is only to help with the growth of this business if they read comments?... the food was better when it was on the corner of the Hampton area. The jerk chicken taste like spicy BBQ sauce, bought the jerk chicken thigh bowl and another item for someone else, which I can't speak upon cause I didn't eat it, however I saw it.. Moving on.... Although it was beautiful to the average customer. Raw onions, frozen peas and raw carrots is not my thang, bruh!! I could have possibly looked over this sad and overly priced bowl, wouldn't have written a review if it wasn't for the horrible service from your cashier. She didn't know the menu, tried to over charge for items, I witnessed people who came in after me trying to decide what to order and she couldn't even help them!! Your in a new neighborhood that is adjusting to a different palate of spices and flavors and your cashier can't even guide them nor suggest the best items on the menu. How are you going to establish Long Jevity if the first person people meet in your Establishment isn't knowledgeable about your business? Just my opinion I truly pray for...
