CHOPPED BROADWAY BODEGA & DELI — Restaurant in Baltimore

I visited this place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, after seeing all the hype on social media. I arrived at 11:30 AM and ordered "The Godfather" sub. I was informed it would take about half an hour to get my food due to the high volume of online orders. At first, I thought a 30-minute wait for a deli sandwich was excessive, but I agreed and paid just over $20 for it. They told me I’d receive a text message when my order was ready.

I left the store and returned 35 minutes later. When I came back, I noticed many people who had already placed their orders were still waiting—some for hours—for what was essentially a lunch meat sandwich. Meanwhile, new customers were being told their wait time would be an hour and a half. Again, this was just for a sandwich.

I didn’t receive my order until 1:30 PM, two hours after placing it. The store only makes sandwiches on weekends, and their website doesn’t inform customers that it’s best to place orders online hours in advance. As for the sandwich itself, it tasted no different from any other sandwich I’ve had before. It wasn’t worth the two-hour wait. Honestly, I could have gone to Jersey Mike’s, received quicker service, and enjoyed a sandwich of equal or better quality.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this business. If you decide to visit, my only suggestion is to order your food online well in advance. If you go in person, be prepared to wait several hours...

Chopped Broadway Bodega & Deli looks like a cute convenient store on the Broadway stripe from the outside, but it's soo much more. I felt like I was in a mini mall. The convenient store side has everything and anything you could want! The atmosphere and music was a vibe. The staff were friendly with great customer service. In the back is the jackpot. The deli in the back carries the heart of the experience. There's premium quality and loaded sandwiches with fun names like "The Godfather" and "The Capone".

There's all kinds of delicious pastries like cookies and brownies; there's even vegan and gluten-free options! The soups are soo rich and flavorful. There's custom S'mores Hot Chocolate with a presentation! You can tell the chef loves food and truly shows her passion in the flavors and qualities of ingredients. She makes her own custom made sauces and combinations of flavors. I was even fortunate enough to have the privilege to sample a new dish she was considering to add to the menu. Truly delicious. You will not regret a visit to Chopped Broadway Bodega & Deli.

I had the pleasure of visiting Chopped Broadway Bodega & Deli for the first time today, and I must say, the experience was phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile at the door, and the exceptional customer service only continued from there.

The owner went above and beyond, offering us multiple samples since it was our first visit. The staff was equally impressive—friendly, patient, and eager to answer all of our questions about the menu.

Now, let’s talk about the food! The subs were absolutely mouthwatering, the cookies and brownies were soft and warm, and to top it all off, they had cream of crab soup that was nothing short of perfection. Everything was fresh and flavorful, leaving me already planning my next visit.

On top of the amazing food, the store also carries your typical day-to-day necessities, making it a one-stop shop for both delicious meals and everyday needs.

Even the travel and parking were a breeze, which made the entire experience hassle-free. This place has it all—amazing food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I can’t wait...
